Description

"Mark Manson continues to deconstruct questions about human happiness and well-being in creative and unexpected ways. The result is a remarkably understandable book that examines some of the deepest questions about where our world is headed, as well as how we can better take care of ourselves (and each other) until we get there."

This book is for you if...

  • Are you tired of toxic positivity and self-improvement clichés?

  • Do you wonder why, even though you have everything, you feel an inner emptiness?

  • Do you feel that pain and problems are inevitable, and are looking for a way to live with them, not avoid them?

  • Are you looking for an honest, sharp, and often humorous analysis of human nature and modern society?

  • Do you want to replace fragile hope with a sense of purpose that endures through difficulties?

What will help you improve?

This book does not promise "happiness." Its central promise is much deeper: it will help you build a more resilient and mature character. It will teach you to define your values not based on what makes you feel good, but on what is truly important. In the end, you will not be chasing hope – you will have become the source of your own strength, capable of facing the inevitable chaos of life with courage and integrity.

The Method: What will you find inside?

Mark Manson does not give you simple solutions. Instead, he offers you a powerful framework of thinking, combining:

  • Unexpected truths: Ideas that overturn what you believed about pain, freedom, and purpose.

  • Stories and humor: Written in his characteristic, raw, and funny style that makes even the most difficult ideas accessible.

  • Philosophy for everyone: He takes the big ideas of philosophers like Kant and Nietzsche and translates them into practical lessons for your life today.

  • Psychological insight: He explains why our "Rational Brain" constantly loses the battle to our "Emotional Brain" and how to manage this inner conflict.

About the Author

Mark Manson is the phenomenon author of the global bestseller “The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck,” which has sold millions of copies worldwide. I had read the author's first book and this one fell into my hands at the most appropriate moment: everything seemed vain, meaningless, I couldn't find meaning anywhere. If religion and new age philosophies don't console you, this specific book (most likely) will, and it also has clever humor. I highly recommend it.

a book that got lost in translation. It has mixed up the emotional car and the logical car and the conscientious mind. It got lost somewhere in the transfers and in the attempt of simulations that the author himself built and got confused. Don't get it, you will get tangled and confused

  • Simply wonderful. Many criticize it because it talks about some self-evident things, but in a world like the one we live in, we need to say them.

Being a reader of this author, I decided to read this book of his as well. Keeping in mind his first book and how excited I was when I read it, I thought that anything written about this book was simply nonsense from those who don't like any of his books due to his writing and expression style.

The book says some nice things, but that's about it. It has no relation to his other books to the point where sometimes I thought that someone was just copying his style. Especially at the point where he started talking about how to create your own religion, I thought about just putting it on the shelf and forgetting it, but in the end, I finished it. Not to mention that I read an entire book that was supposed to talk about hope only to hear the familiar cliché that artificial intelligence will enslave us, etc., in the end... A big disappointment compared to his other books.

I am 15 years old (and I will only refer to people my age). I got it because I read the previous book (The Subtle Art Of Not Giving A F*ck) and I liked it a lot, but this book has nothing to do with the previous one. In conclusion, it didn't interest me and I believe it will be difficult to interest someone my age.

WARNING!!! I'm not saying that the book is not good, it's just not to my taste

I liked it more than the first book because it is better written. You don't need to read the first book since it deals with something else. I really like its style and I am looking forward to Mark's next book

  • Simply wonderful. Many criticize it because it talks about some self-evident things, but in a world like the one we live in, we need to say them.

  • Being a reader of this author, I decided to read this book of his as well.

  • Good but a little more difficult to read compared to the previous one by the same author. Definitely worth reading by someone.

  • I am 15 years old (and I will only refer to people my age).

  • I liked it more than the first book because it is better written. You don't need to read the first book since it deals with something else. I really like its style and I am looking forward to Mark's next book
