The Fourth Book of the Civil Code on Family Law has undergone a series of amendments/reforms since 1982. The author has dealt with these reforms both in the general work "Family Law" and in a series of standalone studies.
The entirety of this engagement, with numerous additions and some modifications, is presented in the current volume. It is evident – though it is not unnecessary to emphasize – that significant was the assistance provided by other legal professionals, whether through systematic works, or through monographs, articles and comments, or through judicial decisions. Without this assistance – which also constituted a challenge for scientific discussion and debate – any effort would have been rather fruitless.
This work investigates Greek Family Law, with the aim of presenting a system that will satisfy – to the extent possible – the needs of the theoretical researcher, the practical interpreter/applier, and the student. It is up to the reader to determine – with the leniency that characterizes them – whether this goal has been achieved.
The structure of the work follows the structure of the Family Law Handbook, which has been reprinted since 1983. At the end, there are extensive developments on the cohabitation agreement, while related issues are also explored in the main work. The extensive alphabetical index makes the work more user-friendly.
