Just before the warranty expired, it suddenly crashed.
I have it on a Unraid server, so I didn't lose anything.
I didn't like the sudden crash because if it has any errors in the smart, I immediately get notified.
It reset itself and also reset the power on hours.
Today, I sent it for warranty and I'm waiting to see what they will respond.

Everything is fine with the warranty. In 7 working days, I had a new one in my hands without any cost. Since I didn't lose any data (due to the operating system and backup), it's a minor inconvenience. I wouldn't buy it again, of course, for €20-30 less than a WD red
Λίγο πριν λήξη η εγγύηση τα έπαιξε ξαφνικά.
Τον έχω σε server Unraid οπότε δεν έχασα κάτι.
Το ξαφνικό δε μου άρεσε γιατί αν βγάλει κάποιο σφάλμα στο smart αμέσως παίρνω ειδοποίηση.
Έκανε μόνος του reset και στις ώρες λειτουργίας (power on hours).
Σήμερα τον έστειλα στην εγγύηση και περιμένω να δώ τί θα απαντήσουν.

Όλα καλά με την εγγύηση. Σε 7 εργάσιμες είχα έναν καινούργιο στα χέρια μου χωρίς καθόλου κόστος. Αφού δεν έχασα δεδομένα (λόγο λειτουργικού βέβαια και backup) μικρό το κακό. Δεν θα τον αγόραζα ξανά βέβαια για τα €20-30 λιγότερα απο έναν WD red

I have had all brands, and only Toshiba managed to work 24/7 for 8 consecutive years in a recorder. It is still working, but now 1TB is not enough. So, I went for the one with 4TB. I see everyone talking about speeds, but I am satisfied. I want it mainly for storing all my music, photos, and programs, basically a database! However, I would not recommend it for the system. But I believe it is the ultimate value for money for storage! If anything happens, I will come back!

I bought 2 to make backup videos and photos. I put one in and in the first hour of operation it crashed and took about 2TB of photos and family videos. I've never had a worse hard drive in my life. Unacceptable.
Αγορασα 2 για να κανω backup βιντεο και φωτογραφιες . Εβαλα τον ενα και στην πρωτη μια ωρα λειτουργιας εσκασε και μου πηρε γυρω στα 2Τ φωτογραφιες και οικεγειακα βιντεο . Χειροτερο σκληρο δεν ειχα ποτε στη ζωη μου. Απαραδεκτο.

Αυτό επεκτείνει τη διάρκεια ζωής του σημαντικά αλλά προκαλεί μειονέκτημα σε σχέση με άλλους δίσκους καθως για να ξαναπαρει μπρος χρειαζεται μερικα δευτερολεπτα. Από την άλλη όταν χρησιμοποιείται συνεχώς και δεν κλείνει είναι μια χαρά γρηγορος για HDD (100-150 MB/s write)
Attention, the disk is of the SMR type and there was a scandal because the consumer was unaware (and I also got caught up) because SMR disks are slower than conventional disks.
I had an older 2TB from the same company and everything was fine, so I bought a 4TB to supplement the volume of files I have, but the transfer speeds dropped several times to 60-70MB/s on the new one, while on the old one it was consistently over 100MB/s.
It may work for any user who wants it for simple file storage because it is large and cheap and the speed doesn't affect much in this aspect (luckily for me), but if someone has large games or files that require some speed to load, it would be good to reconsider and look for another solution.

Ενδεχομενως να κανει σε οποιονδηποτε χρηστη τον θελει για απλη αποθηκευση αρχειων γιατι ειναι μεγαλος και φτηνος και δεν επηρρεαζει πολυ η ταχυτητα αυτο το κομματι (για καλη μου τυχη εγω), αλλα αν καποιος εχει μεγαλα παιχνιδια η γενικα αρχεια που θελουν καποια ταχυτητα για να φορτωσουν καλο θα ηταν να το ξανα σκεφτει και να δει καποια αλλη λυση.
