The Aqua Pure Apcyd single water filter unit is installed under the sink and connected in-line to the cold-water supply. It includes a white 10″ filter housing and a replacement coconut-shell solid activated carbon filter. The filter provides full antimicrobial action and retains cysts down to 1 micron.

The filter removes sediment, sand, soil, rust and suspended solids down to 1 micron, as well as chlorine, pesticides, herbicides, volatile organic compounds and chloroform. It also helps reduce heavy metals such as lead, copper, mercury and cadmium, and retains asbestos fibers and microorganisms. It does not release carbon dust.
