After the initial burn, the plate is ready for use. For proper maintenance of the plate, you should let it cool completely before bringing it into contact with cold water after use, to avoid cracking or breaking. After cleaning the plate, it is essential to dry it very well and coat it again with a little oil before storing it to prevent oxidation and rust. In case of rust, to restore the plate to its original condition, simply burn it again for about 15 minutes on low heat and scrape it with a soft wire brush.
