Just finished Witcher 3, for those who know, a game that literally captivated and obsessed me, of course after a 1 to 2-year break from gaming since GTA IV. I had already planned that the next in line, after Witcher, would be Odyssey. I mentioned this to say that I already had high expectations after such a game.

So, having never played any AC game before, therefore with no prejudice, I started this beautiful journey, which has kept me company for 1.5 years now (72 level, 250+ playing hours). Generally, I am the type of person who "gets into" the game, lives it, and thoroughly explores it, which is why I prefer long story and open-world games. There are countless things to say (mostly positive, as any negatives have already been mentioned by other players), but I will highlight a few:

The accuracy of the names, as well as the monuments, rituals, daily life, and personalities of the Peloponnesian War era, is truly almost unbelievable.

The performances of the protagonists are unique.

The graphics, with some adjustments to the settings, are enchanting. My system is considered mid-range (Ryzen 5 3600, RX580 8GB, 16GB RAM), but it exceeds the requirements. Okay, there was some initial complaining from many about the game's demands, but we also had 2018.

The variety of weapons and equipment is enormous, with dozens of appearance combinations.

Trying to infiltrate a huge, well-fortified and manned fortress in the wild midnight, under the moonlight, with stealth and tactics, is truly a special experience.

If you're not the type of person who buys games to play for 10 hours and then changes them, get it yesterday.

Good game, awesome story, the main questlines captivate you (although in the early levels it becomes a bit of grinding with fetch quests until you get 2-3 good items) and I declare endless love for the two protagonists (and for their actors, who gave a distinct character to the interpretation of Kassandra and Alexios, as well as Deimos in their own unique way).
However, I bought it now during the ubi spring sale. It's a good game, but not to the point where it makes you want to pre-order it or buy it right when it's released.
Apart from that, it is the best in open-world exploration and allows you to wander around and marvel for hours, as well as learn things through the descriptions of the regions you visit, which shows how much effort the ubi team put into making this game. It achieves what every Assassin's game does: it makes you lose yourself for endless hours in the game world, whether it's in Renaissance Italy, Revolutionary Paris, or Ancient Greece during the Classical Hellenism.
I have heard opinions that they simply took the graphics and fighting system from Origins and named it Odyssey, and it may indeed be true (which is why I didn't buy it right away), but it doesn't mean that it's not worth it as a game since it makes you eagerly anticipate what happens next.
Finally, I must say that it's the best feeling to leisurely walk and suddenly hear "what's going on" or "I sail into fantasy" from beside you

Very nice game that takes you on a journey to ancient Greece, it has such beautiful graphics that I wander around in unrelated places haha, just to see the landscapes, and by completing missions I explore wherever I want in ancient Greece and it doesn't make me get bored.

But the only problem for me is that the whole game takes place in ancient Greece and while it supports many languages and European ones both in speech and subtitles, it even has Czech, and it doesn't have Greek!! For me, this is unacceptable for a purely Greek game.

And the funny thing is that most of the speeches in English have a Greek pronunciation, every time I hear them I burst into laughter, oh and of course it has the classic Greek word that 95% of Greeks use (yes, MAL...A) and just hearing it with this pronunciation makes me burst into laughter every time.

I'll make an addition to mention that...

1) Obviously, you need a good and powerful PC to play with decent graphics (maybe too powerful for some/ but let's be honest, when you're among PC Gamers, you know this).

2) I generally got bored easily with Assassin's Creed games and I'm not one of the fans, except for Black Flag and Origins (now, of course, I'm obsessed with Odyssey).

3) By the time I get bored of Odyssey, another game that I'm waiting to see if it's as good will be released, Cyberpunk 2077, which is a different style of game and on the other end from ancient Greece because it takes place in the year 2077 where the progress of technology has led to the destruction of humanity.

Hello everyone, I would like to tell you that this particular game is one of the best games set in ancient Greece that I have played. However, it cannot be considered an Assassin's Creed game for fans of the series (of course, the ball was lost around Black Flag) as the pure history of the assassins has ended a while ago. Nevertheless, as a game, if someone who has no idea what Assassin's Creed is buys it, they will enjoy it because it will bring ancient Greece to life with graphics that reach perfection and are a feast for the eyes. The locations are accurate and they will get to know ancient Greece of our ancestors. So, to summarize, as a game, it is very good and it is hard to get bored with it.

Negatives:
The PC version is very poorly optimized. Specifically, in order to play it properly (meaning with high graphics settings and resolutions like 1080p), you will need an expensive machine with a powerful processor mainly (because the game relies heavily on the processor) and a graphics card that costs at least 250-300 euros in order to enjoy it with nice graphics. When I say nice, I mean settings on ultra-high, with some compromises on volumetric clouds, shadows, etc. Also, something that seems to indicate that the game is generally poorly made for PC is that it cannot be run smoothly at 1080p and a stable 60 fps on high settings with high-end cards like the GTX 980 or 1080. This is unacceptable for cards that cost 500+ euros.

2) The story (as expected) is completely all over the place, with emphasis and confusion in certain points of mythology and real life. So, if someone is a fanatic and wants to gain knowledge from the game, they should avoid it. The only area where the game can provide knowledge is the design of the buildings of ancient Greece, which is flawless and even perfect in its accuracy. Especially the Acropolis and its surroundings are 1:1 in accuracy. But also in the location of the buildings, of course. So, only this aspect provides knowledge.

So, in my opinion, anyone who has a powerful computer should buy it without hesitation because it is a fun game with great controls that make it even more interesting. However, if someone is looking to gain historical knowledge from the game or easily gets annoyed by inaccuracies, it is better not to buy it, or to buy it but play it without thinking that they are in ancient Greece (which is a bit difficult). From me, it easily deserves a 9/10, if it wasn't so heavy and poorly made, I would give it a 10/10. To understand what I mean, on my system (which cost me 1600 euros in December 2016, including the monitor, case, and everything related, not just the computer), with an i5 6500, RX 480 8GB XFX edition, 16GB RAM, with all settings on maximum, I only lowered the clouds to medium, water to medium, shadows to very high, and ambient occlusion to medium, I get the following FPS: 41 average, 28 min, 61 max.
