Purchased at 40 euros to replace the Rival which I can't remember how many years I had it. Slightly smaller and in the same patterns. The build quality of SteelSeries in mice and headphones is top-notch as far as my preferences are concerned

Purchased at the price of €32, two years ago. In general, until now I had no issues.
It is a lightweight mouse, ideal for office use with a large steam pad.
Its laser is not among the best I've seen, but it does its job properly. Used about 6-8 hours a day, not for gaming.
All of the above were OK for the first 2 years. At this point, I have noticed the following problems:
The color has started to fade on the left and below the left click, resulting in the white plastic underneath showing.
The scroll wheel no longer works properly. When you scroll up or down, out of 10 stops it "reads" only 2-3, or sometimes none. In other words, it has a hard time scrolling. However, the middle click still works.
If your mouse pad/steam pad gets a bit worn from use, the laser loses contact with the surface, causing the mouse to stop moving. It is very sensitive and the surface it rests on must be flawless. This is the first time I've encountered such a problem.
Overall, it is a run-of-the-mill mouse, branded by SteelSeries (supposedly for gaming performance), which you will buy for a specific period (~2 years) and then throw away to get another. I will probably return to Logitech, with which I never had a problem in the past, even when I did hardcore gaming, 10 years ago (see legendary LG MX440).

Είναι ελαφρύ ποντίκι, ιδανικό για γραφείο με μεγάλο steam pad.
Το lazer του δεν είναι κι από τα καλύτερα που έχω δει, κάνει όμως τη δουλειά του σωστά. Χρήση περίπου 6-8 ώρες την ημέρα, όχι για gaming.
Όλα τα παραπάνω ήταν ΟΚ για τα πρώτα 2 χρόνια. Στην παρούσα φάση έχω παρατηρήσει τα εξής προβλήματα:
Έχει αρχίσει να ξεβάφει αριστερά και κάτω του αριστερού κλικ το χρώμα, με αποτέλεσμα να φαίνεται άσπρο πλαστικό από κάτω.
Η ροδέλα δε δουλεύει πλέον σωστά. Κάνεις scroll up ή down κι είτε από τα 10 stops "διαβάζει" τα 2-3, είτε κανένα. Κοινώς, δυσκολεύεται πολύ να scrollάρει. Το μεσαίο κλίκ όμως συνεχίζει να δουλεύει.
Αν το mouse pad/steam pad σας ξεφτίσει λίγο από τη χρήση, χάνεται η επαφή του lazer με την επιφάνεια, με αποτέλεσμα να σταματάει να κινείται το ποντίκι. Είναι πολύ ευαίσθητο κι η επιφάνεια που πατάει θα πρέπει να είναι άψογη. Πρώτη φορά αντιμετωπίζω τέτοιο πρόβλημα.
Σε γενικές γραμμές, είναι ένα ποντίκι της σειράς, επενδυμένο με την μάρκα SteelSeries (και καλά για gaming επιδόσεις), το οποίο θα αγοράσεις για συγκεκριμένο χρόνο (~2 χρόνια) και μετά θα το πετάξεις για να πάρεις άλλο. Θα επιστρέψω μάλλον στην Logitech, με την οποία δεν είχα ποτέ στο παρελθόν πρόβλημα, ακόμα κι όταν έκανα hardcore gaming, 10 χρόνια πριν (βλ. θρυλικό LG MX440).
Pros: The mouse works very well, I've had it for a few days. The right click feels more sensitive. I think it will be the first thing to break. The rest are ok. Amazing colors, it feels matte to the touch and not glossy. Quite lightweight.
Cons: To change colors you need to install the GG engine program on your computer, which unfortunately has to run constantly to keep the RGB setting. The program is useless, an incredible bloatware that installs various features you don't necessarily need. If the program isn't running, the RGB resets to default. Attention... The mouse has internal memory that keeps all the settings for DPI etc., regardless of whether the program is running or not, but it doesn't save the RGB. I installed openRgb and set the colors as I wanted. With openRgb you can normally save the colors to the mouse's internal memory without running any program. As soon as you run GG engine though, it resets again. For the program alone... one star. If the mouse lasts a year, I'll give it a second star. If it lasts five, then the broken program is worth it. But from this company, for this money, it's not worth it.
Edit: After a year the mouse is like new, so it gets a second star. If it lasts another year, it'll get a third.
Θετικά: Πολύ καλό λειτουργικά το ποντίκι, το έχω λίγες μέρες. Το δεξί κλίκ φαίνεται στην αίσθηση πιο ευαίσθητο. Νομίζω θα είναι το πρώτο που θα χαλάσει. Τα υπόλοιπο οκ. Τρομερά χρώματα, στην αφή είναι ματ και όχι γυαλιστερό. Αρκετά ελαφρύ.
Αρνητικά. Για να αλλάξεις χρώματα πρέπει να εγκαταστήσετε στον υπολογιστή το πρόγραμμα GG engine που δυστυχώς πρέπει να τρέχει συνέχεια για να κρατάει την ρύθμιση rgb. Το πρόγραμμα είναι για πέταμα, ένα απίστευτο bloatware που σου κάνει εγκατάσταση διάφορα features που δεν τα χρειάζεσαι αναγκαστικά. Αν δεν τρέχει το πρόγραμμα, το rgb γίνεται reset στο default. Προσοχή... Το ποντίκι έχει εσωτερική μνήμη που κρατάει όλες τις ρυθμίσεις στα dpi κλπ, άσχετα αν τρέχει το πρόγραμμα ή όχι, αλλά δεν αποθηκεύει το rgb. Έβαλα το openRgb και ρύθμισα τα χρώματα όπως ήθελα. Με το openRgb μπορείς κανονικά να αποθηκεύσεις τα χρώματα στην εσωτερική μνήμη του ποντικιού χωρίς να τρέχει κανένα πρόγραμμα. Μόλις τρέξεις το GG engine όμως γίνονται πάλι reset. Για το πρόγραμμα και μόνο... ένα αστεράκι. Αν το ποντίκι βγάλει έναν χρόνο θα του βάλω και δεύτερο αστεράκι. Αν αντέξει πέντε τότε χαλάλι το χαλασμένο πρόγραμμα. Αλλά από αυτή την εταιρία για αυτά τα λεφτά δεν αξίζει.
Edit: Μετά από ένα χρόνο το ποντίκι είναι σαν καινούριο, γι'αυτό παίρνει 2ο αστεράκι. Αν βγάλει ακόμη έναν θα πάρει και 3ο.
Having been 100% satisfied with the Rival 100, I decided to get the Rival 3, as I learned that they have the same shape.
The disappointment started with the box, which is much smaller than the Rival 100, to the point where it can barely fit the mouse in a bag, along with a small leaflet in a cardboard frame, not even something like foam or any protective material.
Its plastic has a different feel, it seems like a cheaper plastic compared to the previous model. Also, it is much lighter, which, combined with the feel of the plastic, gives it a cheap mouse sensation.
Apart from the weight, in use it reminds me of its predecessor and for now, it's fine.
Finally, the USB connector, which is clearly of worse quality and tends to break much more easily compared to the connector of the older Rival 100. I am attaching a photo.
The decline in the quality of SteelSeries is tragic.
For the 20 euros I got it on Black Friday, I'm okay. If I had bought it at the full price, I would have been disappointed.
Έχοντας μείνει 100% ικανοποιημένος από το Rival 100, αποφάσισα να πάρω το Rival 3, αφού έμαθα ότι έχουν ίδιο σχήμα.
Η απογοήτευση ξεκίνησε από το κουτί, το οποίο είναι πολύ μικρότερο του Rival 100, σε σημείο να χωράει ίσα ίσα το ποντίκι σε σακουλάκι, μαζί με 1 μικρό φυλλάδιο σε ένα πλαίσιο από χαρτόνι, ούτε καν κάτι σαν φελιζόλ ή έστω κάτι προστατευτικό.
Το πλαστικό του έχουν άλλη αίσθηση, μοιάζει σαν πιο κακό πλαστικό σε σχέση με το προηγούμενο μοντέλο. Επίσης, είναι πολύ πιο ελαφρύ, που σε συνδυασμό με την αίσθηση του πλαστικού έχει την αίσθηση φτηνιάρικου ποντικιού.
Πέραν του βάρους, στη χρήση θυμίζει τον προκάτοχό και για την ώρα είναι μια χαρά.
Τέλος, το βύσμα usb, το οποίο είναι ξεκάθαρης χειρότερης ποιότητας και τείνει προς το να κοπεί πολύ πιο εύκολα σε σχέση με το βύσμα του παλιότερου Rival 100. Παραθέτω φωτογραφία.
Είναι τραγική η πτώση της ποιότητας της SteelSeries.
Για τα 20ε που το πήρα Black Friday είμαι εντάξει. Αν το είχα πάρει στην πλήρη τιμή, θα είχα απογοητευτεί.
The Rival 3 is possibly the best gaming mouse under 25 euros. In this category, it is alongside the Viper Mini, the G203, and possibly the Pulsefire Haste (although I dislike mice with holes). The most important thing in a mouse is, of course, its shape in relation to how each person holds it. The Rival 3 is excellent for fingertip and claw grip. Its shape is generally safe for small/medium-sized hands, except for the back where there are protrusions. Ideally, and this applies to every mouse, try it first if you can at a store. The build quality/materials are very good. Its surface is matte but less rough than Razer's and it stabilizes even more in the hand with moisture. The side buttons are relatively small and not as convenient. The main buttons are neither heavy nor light. Its sensor is flawless without any deviations, and its position (slightly back from the middle) helps with better horizontal control. Its cable, although plastic, is soft and not bothersome at all. The weight distribution is perfect, and its LEDs are nice and discreet. The mouse has onboard memory, so there is no need to run the application, which, however, is one of the least intrusive. For the money it is currently being sold (€19.89), it is ridiculous how much it offers.

Σε αυτήν την κατηγορία βρίσκεται μαζί με το viper mini, το G203 και ίσως το pulsefire haste (παρότι απεχθάνομαι τα ποντίκια με τρύπες). Το σημαντικότερο σε ένα ποντίκι είναι φυσικά το σχήμα του σε σχέση με το πώς ο καθένας το κρατά. Το rival 3 είναι εξαιρετικό για fingertip και claw grip. Το σχήμα του είναι γενικά ασφαλές για χέρια μικρού/μεσαίου μεγέθους με εξαίρεση το πίσω μέρος όπου υπάρχουν προεξοχές. Ιδανικά, και αυτό ισχύει για κάθε ποντίκι, δοκιμάστε το πρώτα αν μπορείτε σε κάποιο κατάστημα. Η ποιότητα κατασκευής/υλικών είναι πολύ καλή. Η επιφάνειά του είναι ματ αλλά λιγότερο τραχιά από τα razer και σταθεροποιείται στο χέρι ακόμα περισσότερο με την υγρασία. Τα πλαϊνά πλήκτρα είναι σχετικά μικρά και όχι τόσο βολικά. Τα βασικά πλήκτρα δεν είναι ούτε βαριά ούτε ελαφριά. O αισθητήρας του είναι άψογος χωρίς αποκλίσεις και η θέση του (ελάχιστα πιο πίσω από τη μέση) βοηθά στον καλύτερο οριζόντιο έλεγχο. Το καλώδιό του παρότι είναι πλαστικό, είναι μαλακό και δεν ενοχλεί καθόλου. Η κατανομή του βάρους είναι άψογη και τα led του είναι ωραία και διακριτικά. Το ποντίκι έχει on-board μνήμη οπότε δε χρειάζεται να τρέχει η εφαρμογή, η οποία, ωστόσο, είναι από τις λιγότερο ενοχλητικές. Για τα χρήματα που πωλείται αυτήν τη στιγμή (€19.89) είναι αστείο το πόσα προσφέρει.
I have always liked SteelSeries mice. I have the Kinzu (orange) which I have been using for 8 years and it is still like new... No creaking, nothing, especially buttons 1 & 2 haven't worn out at all. And it wasn't even rated for 100,000,000 clicks (people laugh...) like they say today. I also had the SENSEI (Black Ops II Edition for those who remember...), same story. I have had the Rival 3 for about a week and the sides have been creaking since the beginning, right out of the box. You have to put some effort to press buttons 1 & 2... Okay, maybe a bit exaggerated, but still disappointing. The mouse feet are like cigarette paper... I don't need to say more. That's enough for the 2 stars... And that's being generous because it's my favorite brand. Unfortunately, no matter what you buy today... The build quality has dropped significantly, unfortunately, it's nothing like it was a decade ago.
Πάντα μου άρεσαν τα SteelSeries ποντίκια. Έχω το Kinzu (πορτοκαλί) το οποίο το είχα "λιώσει" 8 χρόνια και είναι σαν καινούριο... Ούτε τριξίματα, ούτε τίποτα, τα κουμπιά 1 & 2 ειδικά δεν έχουν καταλάβει τίποτα. Και δεν ήταν και rated 100.000.000 clicks (γελάει ο κόσμος...) που μας λένε σήμερα. Είχα και το SENSEI (Black Ops II Edition για όσους θυμούνται...), μία από τα ίδια. Το RIval 3 το έχω καμιά βδομάδα και τρίζουν τα πλαϊνά από την αρχή, μέσα από το κουτί. Τα κουμπιά 1 & 2 για να τα πατήσεις πρέπει να έχεις κάνει βάρη... Εντάξει λίγο υπερβολικός αλλά παρόλα ταύτα απογοήτευση. Τα mouse feet τσιγαρόχαρτα... Δεν χρειάζεται να πω άλλα. Αυτά φτάνουν για τα 2 αστεράκια... Κι αυτό χαριστικά γιατί είναι η αγαπημένη μου μάρκα. Δυστυχώς ότι και να πάρεις σήμερα... Έχει πέσει πολύ η ποιότητα κατασκευής δυστυχώς, καμία σχέση με πριν από καμιά δεκαετία.

I have this specific mouse since December 25, 2020, I ordered it because the switches on my previous Sensei 310 had broken. After 1 month of use in FPS games like Counter Strike and Valorant, I can recommend this mouse to people with small or medium-sized hands. For large hands like mine, it is difficult to aim quickly and I feel like it will slip out of my hands. Also, the surface of the mouse is matte black, which unfortunately fades slightly with sweat and will become more shiny with frequent use over time. BUT, for the 30 euros I paid, the switches feel very good, it has RGB if you are interested in that, and the sensor at 200dpi feels almost accurate when I use it for Counter Strike with a Steelseries mouse pad. For 30 euros, it is the perfect temporary solution for me until summer comes when there will likely be better prices for me to buy the Sensei 310 again. And if you are not as demanding as I am and have small to medium-sized hands, then you will be perfectly satisfied :)
Έχω το συγκεκριμένο ποντίκι από 25 Δεκεμβρίου 2020, το παρήγγειλα καθώς είχαν χαλάσει οι διακόπτες απ' το προηγούμενο Sensei 310 που είχα. Μετά από 1 μήνα χρήσης σε παιχνίδια FPS σαν το Counter Strike και Valorant μπορώ να προτείνω το συγκεκριμένο ποντίκι σε άτομα με μικρό η μεσαίου μεγέθους παλάμες, Σε μεγάλα χέρια σαν τα δικά μου είναι δύσκολο να στοχεύσεις γρήγορα και νιώθω ότι θα γλιστρήσει από τα χέρια μου. Επίσης η επιφάνεια του ποντικιού είναι ματ μαύρο που δυστυχώς με ιδρώτα ξεβάφει ελαφρώς και με συχνή χρήση θα γυαλίζει περισσότερο όσο περνάει ο καιρός. ΑΛΛΑ στα 30ευρώ που το πήρα οι διακόπτες νιώθουν πολύ καλοί, έχει RGB αν σας ενδιαφέρει αυτό, ο αισθητήρας στα 200dpi όταν το χρησιμοποιώ για το counter strike με mouse pad της Steelseries νιώθει ότι είναι σχεδόν ακριβές. Για 30 ευρώ είναι η τέλεια προσωρινή λύση για εμένα μέχρι να έρθει το καλοκαίρι που λογικά θα έχει καλύτερες τιμές για να ξαναπάρω το Sensei 310 και αν δεν είστε τόσο απαιτητικοί όσο εγώ και έχετε μικρές και μεσαίες μεγέθους παλάμες τότε θα είστε απόλυτα ευχαριστημένοι :)

Having been 100% satisfied with the Rival 100, I decided to get the Rival 3, as I learned that they have the same shape.
The disappointment started with the box, which is much smaller than the Rival 100, to the point where it can barely fit the mouse in a bag, along with a small leaflet in a cardboard frame, not even something like foam or any protective material.
Its plastic has a different feel, it seems like a cheaper plastic compared to the previous model. Also, it is much lighter, which, combined with the feel of the plastic, gives it a cheap mouse sensation.
Apart from the weight, in use it reminds me of its predecessor and for now, it's fine.
Finally, the USB connector, which is clearly of worse quality and tends to break much more easily compared to the connector of the older Rival 100. I am attaching a photo.
The decline in the quality of SteelSeries is tragic.
For the 20 euros I got it on Black Friday, I'm okay. If I had bought it at the full price, I would have been disappointed.
Έχοντας μείνει 100% ικανοποιημένος από το Rival 100, αποφάσισα να πάρω το Rival 3, αφού έμαθα ότι έχουν ίδιο σχήμα.
Η απογοήτευση ξεκίνησε από το κουτί, το οποίο είναι πολύ μικρότερο του Rival 100, σε σημείο να χωράει ίσα ίσα το ποντίκι σε σακουλάκι, μαζί με 1 μικρό φυλλάδιο σε ένα πλαίσιο από χαρτόνι, ούτε καν κάτι σαν φελιζόλ ή έστω κάτι προστατευτικό.
Το πλαστικό του έχουν άλλη αίσθηση, μοιάζει σαν πιο κακό πλαστικό σε σχέση με το προηγούμενο μοντέλο. Επίσης, είναι πολύ πιο ελαφρύ, που σε συνδυασμό με την αίσθηση του πλαστικού έχει την αίσθηση φτηνιάρικου ποντικιού.
Πέραν του βάρους, στη χρήση θυμίζει τον προκάτοχό και για την ώρα είναι μια χαρά.
Τέλος, το βύσμα usb, το οποίο είναι ξεκάθαρης χειρότερης ποιότητας και τείνει προς το να κοπεί πολύ πιο εύκολα σε σχέση με το βύσμα του παλιότερου Rival 100. Παραθέτω φωτογραφία.
Είναι τραγική η πτώση της ποιότητας της SteelSeries.
Για τα 20ε που το πήρα Black Friday είμαι εντάξει. Αν το είχα πάρει στην πλήρη τιμή, θα είχα απογοητευτεί.
The Rival 3 is possibly the best gaming mouse under 25 euros. In this category, it is alongside the Viper Mini, the G203, and possibly the Pulsefire Haste (although I dislike mice with holes). The most important thing in a mouse is, of course, its shape in relation to how each person holds it. The Rival 3 is excellent for fingertip and claw grip. Its shape is generally safe for small/medium-sized hands, except for the back where there are protrusions. Ideally, and this applies to every mouse, try it first if you can at a store. The build quality/materials are very good. Its surface is matte but less rough than Razer's and it stabilizes even more in the hand with moisture. The side buttons are relatively small and not as convenient. The main buttons are neither heavy nor light. Its sensor is flawless without any deviations, and its position (slightly back from the middle) helps with better horizontal control. Its cable, although plastic, is soft and not bothersome at all. The weight distribution is perfect, and its LEDs are nice and discreet. The mouse has onboard memory, so there is no need to run the application, which, however, is one of the least intrusive. For the money it is currently being sold (€19.89), it is ridiculous how much it offers.

Το σημαντικότερο σε ένα ποντίκι είναι φυσικά το σχήμα του σε σχέση με το πώς ο καθένας το κρατά. Το rival 3 είναι εξαιρετικό για fingertip και claw grip. Το σχήμα του είναι γενικά ασφαλές για χέρια μικρού/μεσαίου μεγέθους με εξαίρεση το πίσω μέρος όπου υπάρχουν προεξοχές. Ιδανικά, και αυτό ισχύει για κάθε ποντίκι, δοκιμάστε το πρώτα αν μπορείτε σε κάποιο κατάστημα. Η ποιότητα κατασκευής/υλικών είναι πολύ καλή. Η επιφάνειά του είναι ματ αλλά λιγότερο τραχιά από τα razer και σταθεροποιείται στο χέρι ακόμα περισσότερο με την υγρασία. Τα πλαϊνά πλήκτρα είναι σχετικά μικρά και όχι τόσο βολικά. Τα βασικά πλήκτρα δεν είναι ούτε βαριά ούτε ελαφριά. O αισθητήρας του είναι άψογος χωρίς αποκλίσεις και η θέση του (ελάχιστα πιο πίσω από τη μέση) βοηθά στον καλύτερο οριζόντιο έλεγχο. Το καλώδιό του παρότι είναι πλαστικό, είναι μαλακό και δεν ενοχλεί καθόλου. Η κατανομή του βάρους είναι άψογη και τα led του είναι ωραία και διακριτικά. Το ποντίκι έχει on-board μνήμη οπότε δε χρειάζεται να τρέχει η εφαρμογή, η οποία, ωστόσο, είναι από τις λιγότερο ενοχλητικές. Purchased at 40 euros to replace the Rival which I can't remember how many years I had it. Slightly smaller and in the same patterns. The build quality of SteelSeries in mice and headphones is top-notch as far as my preferences are concerned

Purchased at the price of €32, two years ago. In general, until now I had no issues.
It is a lightweight mouse, ideal for office use with a large steam pad.
Its laser is not among the best I've seen, but it does its job properly. Used about 6-8 hours a day, not for gaming.
All of the above were OK for the first 2 years. At this point, I have noticed the following problems:
The color has started to fade on the left and below the left click, resulting in the white plastic underneath showing.
The scroll wheel no longer works properly. When you scroll up or down, out of 10 stops it "reads" only 2-3, or sometimes none. In other words, it has a hard time scrolling. However, the middle click still works.
If your mouse pad/steam pad gets a bit worn from use, the laser loses contact with the surface, causing the mouse to stop moving. It is very sensitive and the surface it rests on must be flawless. This is the first time I've encountered such a problem.
Overall, it is a run-of-the-mill mouse, branded by SteelSeries (supposedly for gaming performance), which you will buy for a specific period (~2 years) and then throw away to get another. I will probably return to Logitech, with which I never had a problem in the past, even when I did hardcore gaming, 10 years ago (see legendary LG MX440).

Είναι ελαφρύ ποντίκι, ιδανικό για γραφείο με μεγάλο steam pad.
Το lazer του δεν είναι κι από τα καλύτερα που έχω δει, κάνει όμως τη δουλειά του σωστά. Χρήση περίπου 6-8 ώρες την ημέρα, όχι για gaming.
Όλα τα παραπάνω ήταν ΟΚ για τα πρώτα 2 χρόνια. Στην παρούσα φάση έχω παρατηρήσει τα εξής προβλήματα:
Έχει αρχίσει να ξεβάφει αριστερά και κάτω του αριστερού κλικ το χρώμα, με αποτέλεσμα να φαίνεται άσπρο πλαστικό από κάτω.
Η ροδέλα δε δουλεύει πλέον σωστά. Κάνεις scroll up ή down κι είτε από τα 10 stops "διαβάζει" τα 2-3, είτε κανένα. Κοινώς, δυσκολεύεται πολύ να scrollάρει. Το μεσαίο κλίκ όμως συνεχίζει να δουλεύει.
Αν το mouse pad/steam pad σας ξεφτίσει λίγο από τη χρήση, χάνεται η επαφή του lazer με την επιφάνεια, με αποτέλεσμα να σταματάει να κινείται το ποντίκι. Είναι πολύ ευαίσθητο κι η επιφάνεια που πατάει θα πρέπει να είναι άψογη. Πρώτη φορά αντιμετωπίζω τέτοιο πρόβλημα.
Σε γενικές γραμμές, είναι ένα ποντίκι της σειράς, επενδυμένο με την μάρκα SteelSeries (και καλά για gaming επιδόσεις), το οποίο θα αγοράσεις για συγκεκριμένο χρόνο (~2 χρόνια) και μετά θα το πετάξεις για να πάρεις άλλο. Θα επιστρέψω μάλλον στην Logitech, με την οποία δεν είχα ποτέ στο παρελθόν πρόβλημα, ακόμα κι όταν έκανα hardcore gaming, 10 χρόνια πριν (βλ. θρυλικό LG MX440).
Pros: The mouse works very well, I've had it for a few days. The right click feels more sensitive. I think it will be the first thing to break. The rest are ok. Amazing colors, it feels matte to the touch and not glossy. Quite lightweight.
Cons: To change colors you need to install the GG engine program on your computer, which unfortunately has to run constantly to keep the RGB setting. The program is useless, an incredible bloatware that installs various features you don't necessarily need. If the program isn't running, the RGB resets to default. Attention... The mouse has internal memory that keeps all the settings for DPI etc., regardless of whether the program is running or not, but it doesn't save the RGB. I installed openRgb and set the colors as I wanted. With openRgb you can normally save the colors to the mouse's internal memory without running any program. As soon as you run GG engine though, it resets again. For the program alone... one star. If the mouse lasts a year, I'll give it a second star. If it lasts five, then the broken program is worth it. But from this company, for this money, it's not worth it.
Edit: After a year the mouse is like new, so it gets a second star. If it lasts another year, it'll get a third.
Θετικά: Πολύ καλό λειτουργικά το ποντίκι, το έχω λίγες μέρες. Το δεξί κλίκ φαίνεται στην αίσθηση πιο ευαίσθητο. Νομίζω θα είναι το πρώτο που θα χαλάσει. Τα υπόλοιπο οκ. Τρομερά χρώματα, στην αφή είναι ματ και όχι γυαλιστερό. Αρκετά ελαφρύ.
Αρνητικά. Για να αλλάξεις χρώματα πρέπει να εγκαταστήσετε στον υπολογιστή το πρόγραμμα GG engine που δυστυχώς πρέπει να τρέχει συνέχεια για να κρατάει την ρύθμιση rgb. Το πρόγραμμα είναι για πέταμα, ένα απίστευτο bloatware που σου κάνει εγκατάσταση διάφορα features που δεν τα χρειάζεσαι αναγκαστικά. Αν δεν τρέχει το πρόγραμμα, το rgb γίνεται reset στο default. Προσοχή... Το ποντίκι έχει εσωτερική μνήμη που κρατάει όλες τις ρυθμίσεις στα dpi κλπ, άσχετα αν τρέχει το πρόγραμμα ή όχι, αλλά δεν αποθηκεύει το rgb. Έβαλα το openRgb και ρύθμισα τα χρώματα όπως ήθελα. Με το openRgb μπορείς κανονικά να αποθηκεύσεις τα χρώματα στην εσωτερική μνήμη του ποντικιού χωρίς να τρέχει κανένα πρόγραμμα. Μόλις τρέξεις το GG engine όμως γίνονται πάλι reset. Για το πρόγραμμα και μόνο... ένα αστεράκι. Αν το ποντίκι βγάλει έναν χρόνο θα του βάλω και δεύτερο αστεράκι. Αν αντέξει πέντε τότε χαλάλι το χαλασμένο πρόγραμμα. Αλλά από αυτή την εταιρία για αυτά τα λεφτά δεν αξίζει.

I have always liked SteelSeries mice. I have the Kinzu (orange) which I have been using for 8 years and it is still like new... No creaking, nothing, especially buttons 1 & 2 haven't worn out at all. And it wasn't even rated for 100,000,000 clicks (people laugh...) like they say today. I also had the SENSEI (Black Ops II Edition for those who remember...), same story. I have had the Rival 3 for about a week and the sides have been creaking since the beginning, right out of the box. You have to put some effort to press buttons 1 & 2... Okay, maybe a bit exaggerated, but still disappointing. The mouse feet are like cigarette paper... I don't need to say more. That's enough for the 2 stars... And that's being generous because it's my favorite brand. Unfortunately, no matter what you buy today... The build quality has dropped significantly, unfortunately, it's nothing like it was a decade ago.
Πάντα μου άρεσαν τα SteelSeries ποντίκια. Έχω το Kinzu (πορτοκαλί) το οποίο το είχα "λιώσει" 8 χρόνια και είναι σαν καινούριο... Ούτε τριξίματα, ούτε τίποτα, τα κουμπιά 1 & 2 ειδικά δεν έχουν καταλάβει τίποτα. Και δεν ήταν και rated 100.000.000 clicks (γελάει ο κόσμος...) που μας λένε σήμερα. Είχα και το SENSEI (Black Ops II Edition για όσους θυμούνται...), μία από τα ίδια. Το RIval 3 το έχω καμιά βδομάδα και τρίζουν τα πλαϊνά από την αρχή, μέσα από το κουτί. Τα κουμπιά 1 & 2 για να τα πατήσεις πρέπει να έχεις κάνει βάρη... Εντάξει λίγο υπερβολικός αλλά παρόλα ταύτα απογοήτευση. Τα mouse feet τσιγαρόχαρτα... Δεν χρειάζεται να πω άλλα. Αυτά φτάνουν για τα 2 αστεράκια... Κι αυτό χαριστικά γιατί είναι η αγαπημένη μου μάρκα. Δυστυχώς ότι και να πάρεις σήμερα... Έχει πέσει πολύ η ποιότητα κατασκευής δυστυχώς, καμία σχέση με πριν από καμιά δεκαετία.

I have this specific mouse since December 25, 2020, I ordered it because the switches on my previous Sensei 310 had broken. After 1 month of use in FPS games like Counter Strike and Valorant, I can recommend this mouse to people with small or medium-sized hands. For large hands like mine, it is difficult to aim quickly and I feel like it will slip out of my hands. Also, the surface of the mouse is matte black, which unfortunately fades slightly with sweat and will become more shiny with frequent use over time. BUT, for the 30 euros I paid, the switches feel very good, it has RGB if you are interested in that, and the sensor at 200dpi feels almost accurate when I use it for Counter Strike with a Steelseries mouse pad. For 30 euros, it is the perfect temporary solution for me until summer comes when there will likely be better prices for me to buy the Sensei 310 again. And if you are not as demanding as I am and have small to medium-sized hands, then you will be perfectly satisfied :)
Έχω το συγκεκριμένο ποντίκι από 25 Δεκεμβρίου 2020, το παρήγγειλα καθώς είχαν χαλάσει οι διακόπτες απ' το προηγούμενο Sensei 310 που είχα. Μετά από 1 μήνα χρήσης σε παιχνίδια FPS σαν το Counter Strike και Valorant μπορώ να προτείνω το συγκεκριμένο ποντίκι σε άτομα με μικρό η μεσαίου μεγέθους παλάμες, Σε μεγάλα χέρια σαν τα δικά μου είναι δύσκολο να στοχεύσεις γρήγορα και νιώθω ότι θα γλιστρήσει από τα χέρια μου. Επίσης η επιφάνεια του ποντικιού είναι ματ μαύρο που δυστυχώς με ιδρώτα ξεβάφει ελαφρώς και με συχνή χρήση θα γυαλίζει περισσότερο όσο περνάει ο καιρός. ΑΛΛΑ στα 30ευρώ που το πήρα οι διακόπτες νιώθουν πολύ καλοί, έχει RGB αν σας ενδιαφέρει αυτό, ο αισθητήρας στα 200dpi όταν το χρησιμοποιώ για το counter strike με mouse pad της Steelseries νιώθει ότι είναι σχεδόν ακριβές. Για 30 ευρώ είναι η τέλεια προσωρινή λύση για εμένα μέχρι να έρθει το καλοκαίρι που λογικά θα έχει καλύτερες τιμές για να ξαναπάρω το Sensei 310 και αν δεν είστε τόσο απαιτητικοί όσο εγώ και έχετε μικρές και μεσαίες μεγέθους παλάμες τότε θα είστε απόλυτα ευχαριστημένοι :)

Overall, it is a run-of-the-mill mouse, branded by SteelSeries (supposedly for gaming performance), which you will buy for a specific period (~2 years) and then throw away to get another. I will probably return to Logitech, with which I never had a problem in the past, even when I did hardcore gaming, 10 years ago (see legendary LG MX440).
Αγοράστηκε στην τιμή των 32€, πριν από 2 χρόνια. Γενικά, μέχρι τώρα δεν είχα κάποιο θέμα.
Είναι ελαφρύ ποντίκι, ιδανικό για γραφείο με μεγάλο steam pad.
Το lazer του δεν είναι κι από τα καλύτερα που έχω δει, κάνει όμως τη δουλειά του σωστά. Χρήση περίπου 6-8 ώρες την ημέρα, όχι για gaming.
Όλα τα παραπάνω ήταν ΟΚ για τα πρώτα 2 χρόνια. Στην παρούσα φάση έχω παρατηρήσει τα εξής προβλήματα:
Έχει αρχίσει να ξεβάφει αριστερά και κάτω του αριστερού κλικ το χρώμα, με αποτέλεσμα να φαίνεται άσπρο πλαστικό από κάτω.
Η ροδέλα δε δουλεύει πλέον σωστά. Κάνεις scroll up ή down κι είτε από τα 10 stops "διαβάζει" τα 2-3, είτε κανένα. Κοινώς, δυσκολεύεται πολύ να scrollάρει. Το μεσαίο κλίκ όμως συνεχίζει να δουλεύει.
Αν το mouse pad/steam pad σας ξεφτίσει λίγο από τη χρήση, χάνεται η επαφή του lazer με την επιφάνεια, με αποτέλεσμα να σταματάει να κινείται το ποντίκι. Είναι πολύ ευαίσθητο κι η επιφάνεια που πατάει θα πρέπει να είναι άψογη. Πρώτη φορά αντιμετωπίζω τέτοιο πρόβλημα.
Σε γενικές γραμμές, είναι ένα ποντίκι της σειράς, επενδυμένο με την μάρκα SteelSeries (και καλά για gaming επιδόσεις), το οποίο θα αγοράσεις για συγκεκριμένο χρόνο (~2 χρόνια) και μετά θα το πετάξεις για να πάρεις άλλο. Θα επιστρέψω μάλλον στην Logitech, με την οποία δεν είχα ποτέ στο παρελθόν πρόβλημα, ακόμα κι όταν έκανα hardcore gaming, 10 χρόνια πριν (βλ. θρυλικό LG MX440).
Pros: The mouse works very well, I've had it for a few days. The right click feels more sensitive. I think it will be the first thing to break. The rest are ok. Amazing colors, it feels matte to the touch and not glossy. Quite lightweight.
Cons: To change colors you need to install the GG engine program on your computer, which unfortunately has to run constantly to keep the RGB setting. The program is useless, an incredible bloatware that installs various features you don't necessarily need. If the program isn't running, the RGB resets to default. Attention... The mouse has internal memory that keeps all the settings for DPI etc., regardless of whether the program is running or not, but it doesn't save the RGB. I installed openRgb and set the colors as I wanted. With openRgb you can normally save the colors to the mouse's internal memory without running any program. As soon as you run GG engine though, it resets again. For the program alone... one star. If the mouse lasts a year, I'll give it a second star. If it lasts five, then the broken program is worth it. But from this company, for this money, it's not worth it.
Edit: After a year the mouse is like new, so it gets a second star. If it lasts another year, it'll get a third.
Θετικά: Πολύ καλό λειτουργικά το ποντίκι, το έχω λίγες μέρες. Το δεξί κλίκ φαίνεται στην αίσθηση πιο ευαίσθητο. Νομίζω θα είναι το πρώτο που θα χαλάσει. Τα υπόλοιπο οκ. Τρομερά χρώματα, στην αφή είναι ματ και όχι γυαλιστερό. Αρκετά ελαφρύ.
Αρνητικά. Για να αλλάξεις χρώματα πρέπει να εγκαταστήσετε στον υπολογιστή το πρόγραμμα GG engine που δυστυχώς πρέπει να τρέχει συνέχεια για να κρατάει την ρύθμιση rgb. Το πρόγραμμα είναι για πέταμα, ένα απίστευτο bloatware που σου κάνει εγκατάσταση διάφορα features που δεν τα χρειάζεσαι αναγκαστικά. Αν δεν τρέχει το πρόγραμμα, το rgb γίνεται reset στο default. Προσοχή... Το ποντίκι έχει εσωτερική μνήμη που κρατάει όλες τις ρυθμίσεις στα dpi κλπ, άσχετα αν τρέχει το πρόγραμμα ή όχι, αλλά δεν αποθηκεύει το rgb. Έβαλα το openRgb και ρύθμισα τα χρώματα όπως ήθελα. Με το openRgb μπορείς κανονικά να αποθηκεύσεις τα χρώματα στην εσωτερική μνήμη του ποντικιού χωρίς να τρέχει κανένα πρόγραμμα. Μόλις τρέξεις το GG engine όμως γίνονται πάλι reset. Για το πρόγραμμα και μόνο... ένα αστεράκι. Αν το ποντίκι βγάλει έναν χρόνο θα του βάλω και δεύτερο αστεράκι. Αν αντέξει πέντε τότε χαλάλι το χαλασμένο πρόγραμμα. Αλλά από αυτή την εταιρία για αυτά τα λεφτά δεν αξίζει.
Edit: Μετά από ένα χρόνο το ποντίκι είναι σαν καινούριο, γι'αυτό παίρνει 2ο αστεράκι. Αν βγάλει ακόμη έναν θα πάρει και 3ο.
Having been 100% satisfied with the Rival 100, I decided to get the Rival 3, as I learned that they have the same shape.
The disappointment started with the box, which is much smaller than the Rival 100, to the point where it can barely fit the mouse in a bag, along with a small leaflet in a cardboard frame, not even something like foam or any protective material.
Its plastic has a different feel, it seems like a cheaper plastic compared to the previous model. Also, it is much lighter, which, combined with the feel of the plastic, gives it a cheap mouse sensation.
Apart from the weight, in use it reminds me of its predecessor and for now, it's fine.
Finally, the USB connector, which is clearly of worse quality and tends to break much more easily compared to the connector of the older Rival 100. I am attaching a photo.
The decline in the quality of SteelSeries is tragic.
For the 20 euros I got it on Black Friday, I'm okay. If I had bought it at the full price, I would have been disappointed.
Έχοντας μείνει 100% ικανοποιημένος από το Rival 100, αποφάσισα να πάρω το Rival 3, αφού έμαθα ότι έχουν ίδιο σχήμα.
Η απογοήτευση ξεκίνησε από το κουτί, το οποίο είναι πολύ μικρότερο του Rival 100, σε σημείο να χωράει ίσα ίσα το ποντίκι σε σακουλάκι, μαζί με 1 μικρό φυλλάδιο σε ένα πλαίσιο από χαρτόνι, ούτε καν κάτι σαν φελιζόλ ή έστω κάτι προστατευτικό.
Το πλαστικό του έχουν άλλη αίσθηση, μοιάζει σαν πιο κακό πλαστικό σε σχέση με το προηγούμενο μοντέλο. Επίσης, είναι πολύ πιο ελαφρύ, που σε συνδυασμό με την αίσθηση του πλαστικού έχει την αίσθηση φτηνιάρικου ποντικιού.
Πέραν του βάρους, στη χρήση θυμίζει τον προκάτοχό και για την ώρα είναι μια χαρά.
Τέλος, το βύσμα usb, το οποίο είναι ξεκάθαρης χειρότερης ποιότητας και τείνει προς το να κοπεί πολύ πιο εύκολα σε σχέση με το βύσμα του παλιότερου Rival 100. Παραθέτω φωτογραφία.
Είναι τραγική η πτώση της ποιότητας της SteelSeries.
Για τα 20ε που το πήρα Black Friday είμαι εντάξει. Αν το είχα πάρει στην πλήρη τιμή, θα είχα απογοητευτεί.
The Rival 3 is possibly the best gaming mouse under 25 euros. In this category, it is alongside the Viper Mini, the G203, and possibly the Pulsefire Haste (although I dislike mice with holes). The most important thing in a mouse is, of course, its shape in relation to how each person holds it. The Rival 3 is excellent for fingertip and claw grip. Its shape is generally safe for small/medium-sized hands, except for the back where there are protrusions. Ideally, and this applies to every mouse, try it first if you can at a store. The build quality/materials are very good. Its surface is matte but less rough than Razer's and it stabilizes even more in the hand with moisture. The side buttons are relatively small and not as convenient. The main buttons are neither heavy nor light. Its sensor is flawless without any deviations, and its position (slightly back from the middle) helps with better horizontal control. Its cable, although plastic, is soft and not bothersome at all. The weight distribution is perfect, and its LEDs are nice and discreet. The mouse has onboard memory, so there is no need to run the application, which, however, is one of the least intrusive. For the money it is currently being sold (€19.89), it is ridiculous how much it offers.
Το Rival 3 είναι ίσως το καλύτερο gaming ποντίκι κάτω από τα 25 ευρώ. Σε αυτήν την κατηγορία βρίσκεται μαζί με το viper mini, το G203 και ίσως το pulsefire haste (παρότι απεχθάνομαι τα ποντίκια με τρύπες). Το σημαντικότερο σε ένα ποντίκι είναι φυσικά το σχήμα του σε σχέση με το πώς ο καθένας το κρατά. Το rival 3 είναι εξαιρετικό για fingertip και claw grip. Το σχήμα του είναι γενικά ασφαλές για χέρια μικρού/μεσαίου μεγέθους με εξαίρεση το πίσω μέρος όπου υπάρχουν προεξοχές. Ιδανικά, και αυτό ισχύει για κάθε ποντίκι, δοκιμάστε το πρώτα αν μπορείτε σε κάποιο κατάστημα. Η ποιότητα κατασκευής/υλικών είναι πολύ καλή. Η επιφάνειά του είναι ματ αλλά λιγότερο τραχιά από τα razer και σταθεροποιείται στο χέρι ακόμα περισσότερο με την υγρασία. Τα πλαϊνά πλήκτρα είναι σχετικά μικρά και όχι τόσο βολικά. Τα βασικά πλήκτρα δεν είναι ούτε βαριά ούτε ελαφριά. O αισθητήρας του είναι άψογος χωρίς αποκλίσεις και η θέση του (ελάχιστα πιο πίσω από τη μέση) βοηθά στον καλύτερο οριζόντιο έλεγχο. Το καλώδιό του παρότι είναι πλαστικό, είναι μαλακό και δεν ενοχλεί καθόλου. Η κατανομή του βάρους είναι άψογη και τα led του είναι ωραία και διακριτικά. Το ποντίκι έχει on-board μνήμη οπότε δε χρειάζεται να τρέχει η εφαρμογή, η οποία, ωστόσο, είναι από τις λιγότερο ενοχλητικές. Για τα χρήματα που πωλείται αυτήν τη στιγμή (€19.89) είναι αστείο το πόσα προσφέρει.
