The AISTRO-QC 2 "x 10" is an in-line filter with water softening resin. In its operation, it exchanges calcium and magnesium ions for sodium ions, thus reducing the hardness of the water. It comes with a QC 1/4" connection.

The AISTRO series uses sodium-based ion exchange resin of FDA quality, strongly acidic, which reduces the content of calcium and magnesium ions in the water. Calcium and magnesium are often referred to as "hardness minerals."

Large amounts of these ions in the water are responsible for:

• Formation of scale deposits
• Increased detergent consumption
• Stains on glassware

In extreme cases, large amounts of calcium and magnesium can lead to etching of glass. Hard water damages household appliances such as dishwashers and washing machines and increases their energy consumption.
