This book attempts to provide a clear, thorough, coherent, and comprehensive view of the central aspects that contributed to the "Imperfect" way of building and operating the Eurozone, highlighting, on one hand, the determining factors of the creation and exacerbation of the increasing macroeconomic imbalances and, on the other hand, the political tensions and social impacts that emerge both within the individual member states and within the Eurozone as a singular entity.

The analysis and examination of facts and data are easy to understand and are structured in such a way that even technical economic issues are described and analyzed simplistically, making them easily comprehensible through empirical examples.

The originality of this work lies in the fact that it offers a different insight, examining in various ways the systematic study of the evolutionary process of European (Monetary (€)) Integration, extensively using a combination of Economic-Political-Social factors, through the tools of: (a) macroeconomic theory, (b) political science, international political economy, and international relations, and (c) elements of sociology, based on criteria of interdisciplinarity.
