Reverse Osmosis Membrane

Reverse osmosis membrane water filters use a semi-permeable membrane to remove dissolved impurities from water, such as salts, heavy metals, microorganisms, and chemicals. The reverse osmosis process forces water through the membrane under pressure, leaving behind unwanted substances.

Micron: A unit of measurement for the filtration of water filter cartridges, equal to one millionth of a meter (1 μm = 1/1000 mm). The lower the micron value, the better and more effective the filtration.
