I bought it on sale for 170, incredible quality. Just the grilling plates... thick cast iron with the heating element integrated inside the iron... no comparison to Tefal, etc., which have a flimsy plate and the heating element in the frame... different category. Heats up quickly despite the large surface area, the digital screen with temperature every 5 degrees Celsius is very good and it also makes a sound when it reaches temperature, the timer is user-friendly and immediate. The cable that connects the surfaces is thick with a rigid metal casing, you don't have to worry about it getting stuck somewhere or snagged by the plate. Very good insulation, it doesn't burn on top while it performs excellently at 230 degrees Celsius.

Excellent construction quality and "masculine" appearance, heavy and quite large... it is very appealing to anyone who sees it in the kitchen. Easy to clean since only the plates need to be wet... there is no visible heating element to bother.

It's a lot of money for a grill, but when I used to replace conventional ones for 80-90 euros every 5-6 years due to plate wear and tear, I ended up spending more... I don't think that will be the case with the cast iron... I have been using it daily for 2 years and it is flawless. There is also a cheaper version without the digital thermostat (180 for warming up, 220 for grilling, I use it 90% of the time). For me, it's worth its price, one of the few built-to-last devices I have found in recent years.
