The director's work is to recreate life: its movement, its contradictions, its dynamics, and its conflicts. His duty is to reveal every iota of truth he has seen, even if not everyone accepts it.
Of course, an artist can lose his way; however, even his mistakes can be interesting, as long as they are sincere, because they represent the reality of his inner life, the wanderings, and the struggle in which he was pushed by the external world. (After all, does anyone ever possess the whole truth?)
Every discussion about what we can show on screen and what we cannot is merely a pedestrian and indecent attempt to distort the truth.
