England, 1913. The clouds of war have already begun to spread their dark shadow quickly over the Old Continent. All of Europe resembles a ticking time bomb, ready to explode. A corpse is discovered at Beachy Head, quite close to the residence where the famous British detective has now settled, away from active duty.

The local police are satisfied with the easy version of suicide. The victim, a young man who had recently experienced a painful love story, meets his death in a place known as the last refuge of the tormented and disillusioned by life.
