It’s extremely buggy (many times it wont sync other times the HDMI CEC won’t work correctly), very expensive, latency is noticeable even on the highest intensity setting.

It’s not a plug and play experience.

It doesn't sync. I followed all the steps, it works in the lighting tests but when it's supposed to sync, it doesn't. I tried it on 2 TVs but nothing. I don't know if there's an issue with the device or what the problem is, but it really is a lot of money for nothing.

I have been using the device for about 6 months.
On the positive side, the synchronization with the other Philips products is excellent and the result is enjoyable on a daily basis.
On the negative side, I will start with the fact that it is quite expensive for what it offers. During the installation, I had issues with the PS5 as the screen was flickering and losing HDR. It took some searching to make it functional (ports 2-4 with higher bandwidth, placement in a specific spot to avoid overheating, changes in settings on the PS). Finally, the Automatic Settings sometimes do not work correctly, e.g., it turns on the wrong device from the one I selected.
For its price, I expected a more quality device; however, the final result is impressive.

By far the worst thing I have bought from Philips... Do not get it for any reason. It freezes, doesn't sync, the thing doesn't work. It's a waste of money. Ridiculous... very disappointed

The synchronization of the lights is amazing, it enhances the movie and gaming experience!
You definitely need the Hue Bridge and some Hue lights, which means the cost increases.
I have connected the Hue Play Gradient Lightstrip, 3 Hue Play Bars, and a ceiling lamp, and the result is enchanting!
The connection is simple, as well as the control through the app.
Keep in mind that apps on your Smart TV, like Netflix and YouTube, do not sync directly as the content needs to pass through the Sync Box via an HDMI device, such as Chromecast, PlayStation, etc.
However, if you want to invest in entertainment, it is something special, it delivers on its promises.
It is definitely expensive, but it will be worth the money if it proves reliable over time.

It really works very nicely. Of course, only with sources that pass through it. So, not the content of the television.
What it does, it does very nicely.... when it's working. It doesn't support all HDMI sources simultaneously and I had to remove some.
The initial setup was easy but what can you do? It greeted us on some nice mornings.... since then I've been trying to figure out the CS of Philips. And the questions they ask me are like taking national exams.???? What can I say? I regret it. You pay Philips because you don't want trouble, but in the end you will suffer. Luckily, the warranty hasn't expired (yet). We shall see...

The ultimate experience! Yes, it is expensive. Yes, it requires a bunch of Hue accessories from the same series. BUT, there is nothing as reliable on the market. Easy installation, instant synchronization with lights & accessories, voice assistant (Google for me), details like location mapping and light height adjustment for optimized experience, and a bunch of other features that enhance the experience. Some tips: a) only HDMI inputs are synchronized, so forget about Netflix, Youtube, etc. from your smart TV, watch them through Playstation or a player like Mi Box b) use short HDMI cables to minimize lag c) connect both the sync box and soundbar to the HDMI ARC and send the output d) from the sync box app, assign some buttons from your TV remote control to each device connected to the sync box so you don't constantly need the app e) place the lights as symmetrically and uniformly as possible to reduce peripheral discomfort from light switching.

Oh well.. 440€ to have a LED strip behind the TV.. Regardless of whether the colors match.. And besides, if you have a powerful PC and a state-of-the-art television and you can play with 4k 120hz HDR 12bit image using an HDMI 2.1 cable, you're out of luck.. You'll have to do passthrough through their box that doesn't support it, and whenever you want the full capabilities of the TV, you'll have to reconnect the HDMI to the TV and you'll have 440€ worth of lights not synchronizing... Keep running around. Thank you, I won't buy it.. As a product in general, it's worth it. Not everyone can have everything on a TV, so they don't care about what I'm saying, but only and solely because of the price, the product falls into oblivion.. 2 stars at best due to the price, clearly..

Continuous disconnections from the application on the mobile for adjusting the box!!! And not so good results with 3 Hue Play bulbs and one Go behind the television!! Maybe the box is not to blame but the application on the mobile, however, since only with the application you control it, it should be much better and stable!!

Recent purchase at 229 euros, used for home cinema in combination with Play Gradient Lightstrip, Hue play bar, and hue lamp.
Supports external image inputs and not images from TV channels.
The result is impressive without delays in response, as long as a quality HDMI version 2.0 or higher is used.
The only negative is the price.
Update:
You can create multiple gaming profiles with different lights connected to the HUE bridge in any room.

In combination with the other Philips hue bridge, bulbs, LED strips, etc., it does an excellent job... anything connected externally through HDMI and passed through the sync works flawlessly (Nova, PlayStation, etc). It's worth it.
