Description

Description

The thoughts of pleasure are birds That fly through the air day and night. This collection gathers poems written from 1934 to 1937 and was printed in 1945 in 470 numbered copies by the editions of the periodical Tetradio, at the Taurousopoulos printing house.

The poem At the hour of the index, with two drawings by George Gounaropoulos, was first published in 1935 in the artistic magazine 20th century by the sculptor N. Tompros. Poems from Enchoria were also published in 1940 and 1944 in the magazine Nea Grammata.

This collection of metered poems and short poetic prose, which at times consists of only a few phrases (as in the Plokamos of Altamira), contains perhaps the most famous poems of Empeirikos.
