We are in the late 26th century. Earth is recovering from a catastrophic explosion that wiped out most of the population, hundreds of years earlier. The surviving humans have organized themselves into four radically different ideological groups, called Paths. Their goal is to rebuild Earth in the way each one desires: Harmony, Dominance, Progress, and Salvation. The followers of each Path live peacefully but completely isolated from their opponents. They only meet in the remaining great city, known as the Capital.
Anachrony features a unique two-level worker placement system. In order to travel to the capital or out to the devastated areas for resources, players need different types of workers (engineers, scientists, administrators, and geniuses) as well as Exosuits to protect and enhance them - but unfortunately, all specialists are in short supply!
