The book by Elpida Tegoulias-Tsilimigra is a collection of short stories filled with memories from a life lived in the struggle. These memories, based on the author's own life, possess the authenticity of the true and the real.

They take place in real time and space, with protagonists and heroes who are not hypothetical but real and named. The short stories are simple and concise. The phrasing is brief and precise, designed not to tire the reader, but to flow and spark curiosity for what comes next.

From the pages of the book arise two worlds. On one hand, there is the world of toil, of the peasantry, of the large majority of our people who formed the strength and moral foundation of the anti-fascist struggle, and on the other hand, there is the rabble and the mélange that constituted the faction of betrayal and the collaborators of the conqueror, the dregs of society.
