The writing team considered it useful to have a book that would help graduates of the specialty "Bakery and Pastry Technician" from IEK in their comprehensive preparation for the successful participation in the initial professional certification exams... leading to the acquisition of a Level 5 Vocational Specialty Diploma in Education and Training.

With this aid, final-year students and graduates have the opportunity to better organize their study, resolve any questions that have arisen during their training, and ensure their success in the certification exams.

Of course, the book is also aimed at a broader audience such as students of the field, serving as a useful tool both during their studies and afterwards. It can also be utilized by trainers of the specialty as additional educational material. At the same time, it contains interesting information for readers who would like to acquire general knowledge about the field, without it necessarily being their work subject.

The relatively simplified manner in which the book is written, where feasible, was used to make all texts easily understandable without losing the scientific integrity of the information. In addition to specialized questions, primarily concerning those involved in the field, there are also numerous others covering various areas from geography to oenology and first aid.

It should be noted to the trainees of the "Bakery and Pastry Technician" specialty, who will use this guide in their preparation for the certification exams, that for several questions, the answers included are not the only correct ones. There are questions whose answers could serve as the starting point for writing an entire book.

An effort was made to achieve a careful and comprehensible approach to the questions, and the answers contain all the elements deemed necessary for successful participation in the certification exams.
