The "GRAMMAR OF ANCIENT GREEK" is the first of a series of three books concerning the subject of Grammar. The other two are "GRAMMAR EXERCISES" and "VERB DICTIONARY." This book includes - on the left pages - the theory divided into sections (e.g., NOUNS) and each section contains sub-chapters (e.g., A' declension - B' declension of nouns...).
The theory is as comprehensive as possible, with tables - spelling rules - accentuation rules - highlights - meanings - homophones and associative words of Modern Greek. We aimed to provide readers with the opportunity to gain an overall picture and not just settle for rote memorization of grammatical forms and rules.
This desire prompted us to innovate on the right pages, including exercises of various types based on the theory of the left pages. We thus tried to make the subject of Grammar perhaps more interesting and enjoyable.
We believe that this book, as well as the other two, is addressed to both middle school and high school students following the theoretical direction, as well as to university students studying the Grammar of Ancient Greek.
In closing, we would like to warmly thank the tutoring center "THEORETICAL EDUCATION" and especially its directors, Mr. Vasilis Tripamboukis and Mrs. Amalia Cheri-Tripamboukis, who encouraged and dynamically supported us in our efforts.
