After 3 weeks of use, the water has a strong chlorine taste. The worst filter I have tried.

I place it as a second choice since the first one, the white one, "has taken the lead" and because I trust active carbon. I have been using this type for years and I am satisfied. As soon as I drink from another one that doesn't have such a filter, I immediately notice the difference. One "trick" I use is the taste of the water in the glass that has been left overnight, so when I wake up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, if I smell "chlorine", it means that the filter is not working properly and I change brands.

Well, this activated carbon filter is not like most others on the market. Besides having antibacterial properties (within its lifespan), it is considerably thicker than the others, I estimate 50% more. I believe this gives it greater effectiveness. Also, while other CTO filters are 5 μm, this one is 1 μm, very close to PB1 which is 0.5 μm. I have paired it with the Hidrowater PP 5 μm in the first stage and they work very well, comparable in taste to much more expensive combinations. Its construction is very good, with a mesh all around and at the water inlet/outlet, while it comes sealed in thick airtight plastic. I consider it very good for its cost.
