This study aims to provide, for the first time, a comprehensive summary of the French influences on Modern Greek dramaturgy, based on the results of recent years that have altered the overall picture of the history of Modern Greek theater.

In this way, it continues and completes the recent efforts of a systematic exploration of the 'influences' and assimilations of major European literatures in Modern Greek theater.
