We bought it as a Christmas gift for our 6-year-old son because he already likes Minecraft in its electronic version, so we hoped it would take him away from the screen a bit. We still don't play it with all the rules because we always simplify board games that we are afraid might be too difficult for him. However, he had no difficulty in following the rules or learning how to set it up, play it, and rate the game, so after a week, we will start adding the rest of the rules. Of course, we are talking about a child familiar with various types of board games. If the child is not familiar, I believe it will be difficult for them at this age, but suitable for 10-year-olds. He really likes it and wants to play all day, so it achieved exactly what we wanted. In a few months, I plan to buy the expansion as well, as the little one continues to show the same enjoyment. I also play with him (even though I'm not into Minecraft) as it is not playable with just one person, and I find it quite entertaining. As for the completion time, sometimes when we don't have time, we agree to finish it after completing the first or second round.
