I think it is the ultimate company for amateur use. At home, I use them for various devices and the automation works perfectly.

With this socket, you can automate a simple lamp or small appliance so that it turns on by itself on a schedule or remotely. I use it for my phone charger. I have programmed it to turn on 1 hour before I wake up in the morning, so I don't leave the phone plugged in and it doesn't do those micro-charges and discharges that damage the battery.

It can work with BT without the Philips app, but without the app the functions are a bit limited.

It can support up to 2200W, but I wouldn't use it for devices like heaters, toasters, ovens, etc. because when they start, they draw a lot of power suddenly. I don't recommend someone getting it and saying, 'I'll put the heater in the cottage to turn on by schedule to get rid of humidity or to turn it on when I leave so it's warm...'—it's not suitable for such use.

It makes a switch sound when it turns off or on. Other than that, it works just fine like all the other hue devices.

I had plugged in the toaster plug.

I was sleeping and at some point I woke up and smelled burnt plastic?

Well, the power went out at night and came back.

The plug turned on by itself and I almost got burned completely

You don't need to put anything on it to set it up, just press the single button it has on top.
Otherwise, it's as the others say.

The reason I chose this specific socket is because I already have several lights and the Philips motion sensor, so I got it to complete the puzzle :P Of course, all it does is turn on/off and it can't give you statistics and data on energy consumption. Also, in order to connect it, I didn't know that I had to first connect a light fixture that has a Philips Hue bulb, which made it difficult for me until I figured it out.

It does exactly what it says with a maximum power of 2200w. However, due to its size alone, I would not install a heating element as some well-intentioned people would think
