The Metzeler Sportec M9 RR front motorcycle tire features a Supersport tread pattern with grooves that channel water away and help maintain stability on wet roads. Its 100% silica compound delivers performance even at low temperatures, while the dual compound combines a softer shoulder compound for grip through corners with a harder base for thermal balance and consistent performance. The tire’s construction supports quick, predictable responses to rider inputs.
The central grooves enhance straight-line stability, while the grooves in the middle of the tread contribute to grip and feel when cornering. The compound helps prevent overheating and preserve the tire’s integrity throughout its service life. The dual compound is claimed to increase mileage by more than 10% compared with the Metzeler Sportec M7 RR.
