I bought this glue to repair a small Intex pool with a capacity of about 1700 liters. It had been folded and stored in a shed in the garden, and probably mice made 14 small holes in the material. The pool is made of a soft, flexible laminated PVC (="vinyl") and must withstand significant pressure from the water.
At first I was skeptical, because I had read in reviews for other similar PVC glues, especially for such pools, that they do not do a good job. But the reviews from other users for this BISON product gave me hope that it would work well in my case too.
And I was not disappointed! It worked perfectly. Before I started, I cleaned the pool with dish soap, let it dry, marked the holes, and then cleaned the spots on both sides with pure alcohol. I cut the patches from the included PVC sheet, rounded the corners with scissors, and then applied the glue to both the patch and the hole. I let them dry for 5 minutes. Then, I stuck the patch on the outside of the pool, pressed it well for a few seconds, and finally dripped a drop of glue on the inside of the hole as well. I did this in the afternoon and left it to dry outside, in the early summer heat, all night. The next day I filled the pool and now, about 14 days later, it remains perfectly watertight!
The process is reminiscent of repairing a bicycle inner tube – the glue fuses the patch with the material. The tube was enough to glue 14 patches and there is enough left for another 2-3. I would buy it again without a second thought if I needed it.
Αγόρασα αυτήν την κόλλα για να επισκευάσω μια μικρή πισίνα Intex χωρητικότητας περίπου 1700 λίτρων. Ήταν διπλωμένη και αποθηκευμένη σε ένα υπόστεγο στον κήπο, και πιθανότατα ποντίκια έκαναν 14 μικρές τρύπες στο υλικό. Η πισίνα είναι φτιαγμένη από ένα μαλακό, εύκαμπτο λαμινέ PVC (="βινύλιο") και πρέπει να αντέχει σημαντική πίεση από το νερό.
Στην αρχή ήμουν σκεπτικός, γιατί είχα διαβάσει σε κριτικές για άλλες παρόμοιες κόλλες PVC ειδικά για τέτοιες πισίνες ότι δεν κάνουν καλή δουλειά. Όμως οι αξιολογήσεις από τους άλλους χρήστες για αυτό το προϊόν της BISON μου έδωσαν ελπίδα ότι θα λειτουργήσει καλά και στη δική μου περίπτωση.
Και δεν απογοητεύτηκα! Δούλεψε τέλεια. Πριν ξεκινήσω, καθάρισα την πισίνα με υγρό πιάτων, την άφησα να στεγνώσει, σημάδεψα τις τρύπες και μετά καθάρισα τα σημεία και από τις δύο πλευρές με καθαρό οινόπνευμα. Έκοψα τα μπαλώματα από το φύλλο PVC που περιλαμβάνεται, στρογγυλοποίησα τις γωνίες με ένα ψαλίδι και μετά άπλωσα την κόλλα τόσο στο μπάλωμα όσο και στην τρύπα. Τα άφησα να στεγνώσουν για 5 λεπτά. Στη συνέχεια, κόλλησα το μπάλωμα στην εξωτερική πλευρά της πισίνας, το πίεσα καλά για λίγα δευτερόλεπτα και στο τέλος έσταξα μια σταγόνα κόλλας και από την εσωτερική πλευρά πάνω στη τρύπα. Το έκανα το απόγευμα και το άφησα να στεγνώσει έξω, στη ζέστη του πρώιμου καλοκαιριού, όλη νύχτα. Την επόμενη μέρα γέμισα την πισίνα και τώρα, περίπου 14 μέρες μετά, παραμένει απόλυτα στεγανή!
Η διαδικασία θυμίζει την επιδιόρθωση σαμπρέλας ποδηλάτου – η κόλλα συγχωνεύει το μπάλωμα με το υλικό. Το σωληνάριο ήταν αρκετό για να κολλήσω 14 μπαλώματα και έχει μείνει ποσότητα για άλλα 2-3. Θα το αγόραζα ξανά χωρίς δεύτερη σκέψη, αν το χρειαζόμουν.
I used it to seal a hole right at the corner of the bow on my Intex Explorer canoe.
This specific spot does not belong to an air chamber, but it stretches incredibly because the two air chambers that end at the bow are pressed on top of it. The hole opened because it fell with all its weight on a thorny plant in Naxos. I put a vinyl patch (included in the package) both inside and outside, and the result is incredible. I'm not afraid of it at all. I continue to use it in waves and for long distances.
18/08/2024: I found a crack in the air chamber, but even that was repaired just fine.

Το συγκεκριμένο σημείο δεν ανήκει σε κάποιον αεροθάλαμο, αλλά τεντώνει απίστευτα πολύ γιατί από πάνω του πιέζονται οι δύο αεροθάλαμοι που καταλήγουν στη πλώρη. Η τρύπα άνοιξε επείδη έπεσε πάνω με όλο του το βάρος σε φυτό με αγκάθια στη Nάξο. Έβαλα φύλλο βυνιλίου (περιέχεται στη συσκευασία) εσωτερικά και εξωτερικά και το αποτέλεσμα είναι απίστευτο. Δεν το φοβάμαι καθόλου. Συνεχίζω να το χρησιμοποιώ με κύματα και να κάνω μακρινές αποστάσεις.
18/08/2024: Εντόπισα σχισμή στον αεροθάλαμο, αλλά ακόμη κι αυτό μια χαρά επισκευάστηκε.
