Today, there are several preschool education programs implemented in many countries around the world. This work refers to programs based on Piaget's epistemological and genetic-evolutionary theory.

The general principles of the theory serve as the foundation for the development of science and mathematics programs in preschool education, which we will present next.

Also presented are the model programs of Kamii and DeVries, as well as Copple, Sigel, and Saunders. These programs have been applied in experimental initiatives and are implemented with corresponding adaptations and variations in kindergartens across the United States.

These programs are examined because they are representative of a series of programs that fall into the same category.
