This negotiation addresses the issue of class polarization in Greek society. The study operates on two levels.

The first is the critical examination of theoretical approaches to the Greek social structure. The second represents an endeavor of alternative perspective, which includes essays on the type of social formation, the structure of employment, and the exploration of the subject of social action.

The main proposition of this perspective is that the primary phenomenon characterizing contemporary social development is the post-war expansion and the diverse reproduction of traditional petty-bourgeois strata.
