ECE R27: This is the official legal certification that the triangle meets European safety standards. It guarantees that the product is obligatorily visible at night (reflective) and during the day (phosphorescent), has the correct dimensions, and will not fall over due to wind.

UN R150: This is the modern "umbrella" certification of the United Nations that is gradually replacing R27. It does not change the use of the triangle, but imposes even stricter laboratory tests on the reflective materials, unifying all vehicle safety regulations under a single rule.
