This small volume gathers (from the publisher's friendly interest) texts that are somewhat autobiographical, which were published a few years ago. It is not something more significant than a teenage confession primarily stimulated by the first experiences of human inadequacy.
If there is something that stands out in the pages that follow, which perhaps justifies their publication, I would say it is a discreet spirituality that struggles to be preserved as a painful alertness at the edges of the personal experience of truth. This coexistence of religious faith with personal awareness has become something rare, perhaps even incomprehensible, whereas it should be the most natural path.
Of course, it means walking on the razor's edge, far from any comfort, rest, satisfaction, and quenching of thirst. But the path to gaining the essentials is personal hunger and thirst, the passion of a person who sells everything to buy that one gem. And such madness, however authentically evangelical it may be, remains incomprehensible to our present Christianity.
