The Alena progressive vaginal dilators by Calexotics are a 3-piece silicone set in different sizes for gradual practice. They are used to address vaginal discomfort and pain during penetrative intercourse, as well as difficulties during gynecological examinations or tampon insertion. They may be used for vaginismus, dyspareunia, lichen sclerosus, vaginoplasty, recovery after gynecological surgery or childbirth, and following radiation therapy or chemotherapy.
Before first use and after each use, wash with warm water and mild soap, then store completely dry in the case. For insertion, lying down with your legs bent and slightly apart is recommended. You can also stand with one foot resting on a chair. Lubricant or water may be used to make insertion easier. Begin with the smallest size for 8–10 minutes, then gently move it in and out about 20 times. Repeat this process 3 times a week for 2 weeks, unless your doctor advises otherwise. Move on to the next size when the previous one can be inserted without difficulty.
