Recommended for:

• Initial nutritional management of cats with any type of Lower Urinary Tract Disease (LUTD), such as crystalluria or urolithiasis from any cause, urethral plugs, and idiopathic cystitis.
• Dissolution of sterile struvite uroliths.
• Long-term nutritional management of cats prone to struvite, oxalate, and calcium phosphate crystals and uroliths.
• Urethral plugs (almost exclusively associated with struvite or calcium phosphate crystals).
• Idiopathic LUTD.

Not recommended for:

• Kittens.
• Pregnant or lactating cats.

Main features and benefits:

• Reduced levels of Magnesium, Phosphorus, and Calcium to decrease the concentration of struvite components.
• Addition of Citrate forming soluble complexes with calcium.
• Target urine pH: acidic pH 6.2-6.4 to prevent struvite crystal formation.
• Increased water content in sachets and cans to increase urine volume.
• Variety of formulas to increase choice and encourage acceptance.
• Addition of vitamin E and Beta-Carotene to help neutralize free radicals.
