Description

Organic Chia seeds from Bioagros. These seeds are tiny black kernels from the plant Salvia hispanica. They are a nutrient-rich food with significant benefits for our body and mind.

Chia seeds have the property of absorbing multiple times their volume in water, and in the stomach, they turn into a type of gel, preventing stomach enzymes from breaking down carbohydrates, thus preventing them from turning into sugars.

Benefits

  • They have anti-inflammatory properties
  • They have antioxidant properties
  • They help with constipation
  • They aid brain function
  • They reduce cholesterol
  • They lower high blood pressure
  • They help with heart diseases
  • They help with diabetes
  • They help with osteoporosis

How to Use

Chia seeds are popular for the gel they form when mixed with water, which helps reduce the feeling of hunger. You can add chia seeds to fruit juices, hot milk (to create a porridge), plant-based drinks, smoothies, yogurt, soups, salads, sauces, legumes, and rice.

I would say that chia seeds are better than flaxseeds. I grind them in a coffee grinder and make a powder that I mix at the end into the cooked food and even into cream or chocolate mousse. In the warm soup, I occasionally add whole chia seeds. I can confidently consume up to 50 grams a day.

I wouldn't buy them again because I prefer WHITE chia seeds which also have fewer carbohydrates:

I usually use it with my breakfast (overnight oats). They absorb milk quite well and do not affect the taste. Large packaging at a good price!

I use it almost every day for my breakfast yogurt, for 1.5 months now, and it doesn't seem to finish.
Also, the packaging is perfectly convenient as it closes tightly and you feel a sense of security as you can store it directly without fearing that everything will fall down.
