Excellent! I have a 100mbps connection and with the PLC, speeds are consistently above 95 (98 in the screenshot). Some important notes:
- It should be connected directly to the wall outlet and not to a power strip
- After connecting to the wall outlet, you can connect a power strip
- It should be connected "upright" with the ethernet cable below and not upside down
- It's good to disable power saving mode because sometimes it disconnects
- You can turn off all the lights together or one by one
- You can download the tp link utility from here: https://www.tp-link.com/gr/support/download/tl-pa7017p-kit/
- And it requires admin rights to install and every time you open it.
- You can use the Kit without this utility. You only use it if you want to make minor adjustments.

Update 17/1/2025 (2.5 years of use): It started disconnecting on a daily basis, at least 2-3 times a day. Not only does it disconnect, but it also requires re-unpairing and pairing, meaning I have to set it up from scratch again. I’ve made the decision and instead of spending 50 euros on powerline, I will get a hammer drill to dig through the wall to run a spiral and inside it an ethernet cable to create my own socket. It costs twice as much since afterwards it needs plastering and painting the wall, but it is the only sure solution.

I chose this one because the TL-PA4010P Kit left me after almost 2 years of use. It wouldn’t sync with anything, after disconnecting one of the two from the socket where I had it, no matter what I did (pair, factory reset, same room, different computer, different house - yes, I tried that too), so I came here with a refund.

For two weeks, I used 20 meters of cat.6 Ethernet from the living room where the OTE router-modem is to my room, on the computer. As you can see in the upper part of the photo and then in the lower part, the loss is zero. There was a noticeable increase in ping, but I wouldn’t even call that a "problem" since I didn’t notice any issues in games. If you live in an old house (construction from the 50s-60s usually) and the electrical wiring hasn’t been changed at all from the panel to the actual power cables inside the wall, it’s very likely that it won’t work for you, or if it does, you’ll have terrible losses.

The ideal solution, as a friend who is an electrician and has a hobby of installing home networks told me verbatim, is: during a renovation, the owner should install UTP (cat.6e/cat 7) (https://www.skroutz.gr/s/10804368/Powertech-U-UTP-Cat-6e-Cable-100m-%CE%9C%CE%B1%CF%8D%CF%81%CE%BF-CAB-N061.html) inside the wall and bring out Ethernet ports (https://www.skroutz.gr/s/24031827/DeLock-%CE%94%CE%B9%CF%80%CE%BB%CE%AE-%CE%A0%CF%81%CE%AF%CE%B6%CE%B1-%CE%94%CE%B9%CE%BA%CF%84%CF%8D%CE%BF%CF%85-RJ45-%CE%BC%CE%B5-%CE%A0%CE%BB%CE%B1%CE%AF%CF%83%CE%B9%CE%BF-%CE%A4%CF%8D%CF%80%CE%BF%CF%85-Cat6-%CF%83%CE%B5-%CE%9B%CE%B5%CF%85%CE%BA%CF%8C-%CE%A7%CF%81%CF%8E%CE%BC%CE%B1-86195.html) throughout the house where needed, meaning bedroom, living room. The solution provided by powerline is something that often fails (not frequently over the years) and is not 100% reliable; for example, a lightning strike can easily burn them out. I mention this mainly for people who are considering renovating or are renovating a space and need a wired connection (working from home, online games, streaming, transferring large amounts of files, etc.). The above endeavor will cost you about as much as 2 or 3 powerline devices since it includes labor for installation, cable, and sockets. However, it won’t be affected by earthquakes, humidity, or anything. It lasts as long as your building does!

In summary, I recommend this one since it is a newer series of the most popular "grandmother," I would say, TL-PA4010P.

Update 29/8/2023: After 50 meters of Ethernet providing internet to a TP-LINK Archer AX73 v1, I now have the powerline bringing internet to the computer (20-25 meters of electrical wiring - 1 room next door). The speeds, as you can see in the photo, are now 93 down/10 up.

Update 24/5/2024: I’m removing one star because after upgrading to a 200/20 ftth line, the speed I’m getting is 90 download 20 upload. The motherboard port supports up to 1Gbp/s so this is definitely not the issue.

One floor below the router, at a great distance between them, with two electrical panels in between (sub-panel and main panel), 27-year-old wiring, and it gives what you see in the picture (download 110 with a connection speed of 300 Mbps). Oh, there is also another single TP-Link adapter that provides WiFi and connects the TV and TV box via two Ethernet cables. I am absolutely satisfied.

So, in a relatively new house with a 300 line, it reached 150 mbps on the other side relative to the router, which is perfectly fine for what I need it for... in another socket that was newly installed, it reached 90 mbps so I didn't use it.
It worked automatically without needing any configuration as stated in the manual.

I have had the TP-LINK TL-PA7017P KIT v4 Powerline Double for two months, the two Powerlines have been placed quite far from each other on a Fiber 100 Mbps line. The main electrical panel of the house is in between them. Our electrical installation is entirely new. As soon as I connect them, the speed is 70-80 Mbps. After a few days, it drops to 30-40 Mbps and I don't like that at all. Of course, I wasn't expecting anything better, but it's not exactly as advertised. In the future, I will write again about their performance. If this speed is maintained for a few years, i.e. as long as the EU warranty lasts for 2 years, and if nothing better comes up, I would buy them again.

It does exactly what it says, for anyone who has the router in another room the solution is powerline. Pay attention to three things: first, always get a pair; second, never plug it into a power strip; and third, make sure the speeds are compatible. I have 100 and I get 96-97, there will always be a small deviation but it's minor. Make sure the power outlets are of new construction because otherwise you will have very low speeds.

Easy and quick solution for internet wherever there is a power socket. Although it is theoretically gigabit, do not expect to see more than 200Mbit and that only under ideal conditions. (Point to point without devices that generate interference on the line.)
A positive is that it has 16A passthrough sockets so you can plug various devices into it (and not necessarily light ones).

After 3 months of use, just don't buy it. At first, even though the distance from the living room to the kitchen is small, I thought ok, it gets 350mbps (checked from the TP-link app) because it might be passing through the panel. I note that both ends are plugged directly into a socket, not through a power strip. Generally, they were alone, I had no device in their pass-through socket.

I thought, let's put them under the same circuit breaker, kitchen-kitchen for testing, socket distance 2m (on the same wall, not opposite). We got up to 530. I note that the house is 15 years old, we don't live in a dump.

Okay, I wasn't expecting 1 Gbps, but at such a short distance, I didn't expect such poor performance. And because you'll ask, yes, I pressed their sync buttons (no difference in speed anyway).

Even 2 stars are too many. I expected more from a branded product.

It worked immediately as soon as I plugged it in (not a power strip), but at low speed, on a 300 Mbps line it did not exceed 120 down - 130 up. However, as soon as I paired it, the Speed test went up a bit over 260 - 145, and in real conditions I downloaded files at 302-305 Mbps while the upload reached 160. My wiring is old but probably good.

    Pros:
    Easy to connect
    Stable connection

    Cons:
The speed is affected by the wiring and other connected devices. Also, in a three-phase connection, it must be on the same phase. You don't know what speed to expect until you use it

The TP-LINK TL-PA7017P KIT v4 proved to be an ideal choice for improving the wired connection at home. Installation was super easy — just plug it into the sockets and connect it to the router and the computer, with no configuration needed.

The connection performance is extremely stable and fast, with speeds approaching those of a direct Ethernet connection. The Gigabit Ethernet port ensures maximum utilization of network speed, while the Passthrough function allows the use of the socket without losing valuable space.

Additionally, its design is discreet and does not affect the aesthetics of the space. It is an economical and reliable solution for anyone who wants fast internet in areas of the house where Wi-Fi does not reach.

Conclusion: Excellent choice for a stable, fast, and uninterrupted wired connection, ideal for streaming, gaming, and working from home. Highly recommended!

Plug and play. I have tested this in 2 different houses with 100 mbps connections where the router's synchronization is at 85-90 mbps. With this powerline, my speed is barely 25 mbps at a distance of 5-8 meters. The wiring is new and there is no such problem with other similar products. It goes without saying that the connection has been made correctly (directly into the socket and so on).

I have 100mbps download and 10mbps upload, and in my room without the powerline, I was getting about 20 download and 5 upload, and now I get 80 download and 10 upload.

I am absolutely satisfied.

both of them work like a charm. I have 500 speed and it barely reaches it with two consoles and a smart TV. the only bad thing is that they are expensive and with the slightest power outage they get fried.

It is very good without losing the internet connection, it's just that I have a 200 line but it reaches up to 120 somewhere around there, but I don't lag at all in games. For what it is, it is very good, I recommend it for gamers who are far from the router

I used them in a house where I had almost zero speed loss and in another where it dropped to 60-70%.

So it does its job perfectly and the losses have to do with the quality of the wiring in each house.

I bought it yesterday and as much as I used it, it's flawless. I am very far from my router, I use it for gaming especially. I have 100mbps download and 10mbps upload, and in my room without the powerline, I was getting about 20 download and 5 upload, and now I get 80 download and 10 upload. I am very satisfied, the internet is lightning fast. As for the connection, it was super easy; I didn't even need to pair it, it did it by itself and very quickly. I highly recommend it!

Good, it works immediately by pairing with another Tenda AV1000 powerline. Of course, I have to say that I bought this specific one because I had the same one for years, which suddenly went off, burned out, and no lights would turn on. I didn't look for a repair, I just got another one.

I have Fiber 200 and at best it reaches 70mbps. It has even managed to reach 20. It might be due to the electrical wiring of the house, but I know that the wires were changed no more than 15 years ago. It's a decent solution if you don't want to deal with cables, but that's about it, and it costs 50 euros.
