The product is amazing!! I needed 2 pieces to remove all that burning from the ceramic plate of my iron!! I didn't expect it to clean so well! I highly recommend it because it is also very affordable and effective!

It does a very good job without effort. The iron's plate was completely black. If the plate is excessively blackened, then a second application will be needed. I remove one star due to the strong smell. The iron should be cleaned outdoors.

I had a steam iron that was in terrible condition underneath. I had tried various techniques over time (e.g. using aluminum foil) and they did indeed extend its lifespan quite a bit. Unfortunately, they didn't work anymore, so I tried this specific stick and it worked perfectly.
Basically, you rub it on the hot plate (unplugged) and it dissolves everything. However, be careful of the fumes. You must do it in a well-ventilated area and wear a mask, otherwise you will inhale all the chemicals.
