In fact, in the user manual (printed and PDF from the dealership's website) it says "This chamber (semi-freezer) is designed for ice production and short-term storage (up to 3-4 days) of some frozen foods." After contacting the dealership several times, they told us that it doesn't make ice and that it is a TYPOGRAPHICAL ERROR in the manual!! Luckily, I didn't buy a cabinet and they didn't tell me that the fact that it is a refrigerator is a typographical error.
