This book destroys many myths; it questions the institutionalized social imagination and contributes to the creation of a new institutionalizing society (Castoriadis), as required by the contemporary post-capitalist and post-communist society.

It proposes a society of citizens through an autonomous and self-managing direct and participatory socialist democracy, which does not exist anywhere today, but existed in the past.
