Water-soluble
The POSCA paint is "water-soluble": it can be diluted to create a gradient effect. This process takes place before drying: use a brush that you have previously soaked in water and work the paint directly onto your material to achieve the desired effect.
Color blending
As long as the paint is wet, colors can be blended on the workspace by smudging with the tip or with a brush to create endless color gradations. If the tip becomes dirty, simply clean it and use the marker again to restore the original color.
Perfect for layering
Thick and opaque, POSCA paint is ideal for layering! Dark colors can be applied over light colors or light over dark. Thanks to the quick drying time, layering can be done without smudging. Before applying the next layer, make sure the previously applied paint is completely dry.
Prepare the Posca marker
Shake the marker up and down vigorously with the cap on. You will hear the ball inside moving. This indicates that the paint inside the POSCA marker is mixing.
Test the marker
Carefully press the back of the marker downward until the paint flows down. Be cautious, as if you press it too many times, excess paint may flow out around the tip. Repeat the process when the tip needs paint.
Storage conditions
POSCA markers can be stored in any position, as long as the cap is replaced after use. The ball inside the marker is used to mix the paint, which remains perfectly preserved inside the marker. The POSCA PCF-350 with a brush tip should be stored horizontally if possible.
