The story of "The Little Prince" is a magical fairy tale written for both children and adults. It is a timeless tale, as for fifty-four years it has left all who read it speechless with emotion in the same way.
A pilot, tired of his relationship with people, lives withdrawn from them. On one of his flights, he is forced to land in the Sahara desert because his plane breaks down. He finds himself in the middle of nowhere, with just enough water supplies for eight days.
There he meets the little prince, a golden-haired child brought from an unknown planet, as big as a house. The little prince has been traveling for a year, visiting new planets, wanting to see and learn. He is beautiful and sensitive, relentless and transparent, curious and unpredictable as only children can be.

Read an excerpt
"Once, when I was six years old, I saw in a book about the virgin forests, whose title was 'True Stories', a wonderful picture. It showed a boa swallowing a wild animal. Here is a copy of the drawing.
The book said: 'Boas swallow their prey whole, without chewing it. Afterwards, they can no longer move and sleep for six months, in order to digest.'
So I sat and thought about the adventures of the jungle and then I managed to draw, with a colored pencil, my first drawing. Drawing number 1."
