Karagiozis is our unique folk theater. A theater rich in content and unparalleled in scenic originality.

We carefully selected twelve of the oldest printed texts of Karagiozis, striving to ensure they are well-written as well as representative. We adorned the book with colorful and black-and-white figures for the delight of the eyes and as examples.

Finally, we wrote an extensive introduction with the sole purpose of informing the reader about the significance, roots, and function of our folk theater, which has begun to fade long ago.
