The Miele Active AirClean filter reduces unpleasant odors - ideal for pet owners and homes with smokers.

The Miele SF-AA50 is a step ahead with Super AirClean Filter technology. It combines the Super AirClean filter with a charcoal cassette for odor absorption from the dust bag, which is particularly useful if you have pets. This filter retains 99.95% of particles below 0.5 microns (only 1 & 1/200 the width of a human hair) and has a lifespan of 50 hours or 12 months of use.

    I have the Miele Cat and Dog for 21 years and I have only changed this specific filter 5 times. It depends on the usage of the vacuum cleaner, usually I use it during the winter months when I have carpets. It is excellent and when you make the change, you will notice the difference in the quality of the air it releases in the house. I believe that frequent filter changes will also extend the life of the vacuum cleaner.
