One of the highest quality remasters that have been released, perhaps a standard for what will follow.
It manages to be almost perfectly faithful to THPS 1 and 2, but I'm glad it's not completely faithful. This is because it adds tricks like revert, wall plant, and manuals among others (things that did not exist in the original two games), giving a new air to combos and of course, to what you can achieve and combine. Its handling is flawless and I never felt that a bad landing, for example, was a problem with the game instead of my miscalculation. It is immediate to the point where you have absolute control.
In general, it includes 9 levels from THPS and 8+1 from THPS2, along with options for free skate, split-screen multiplayer, and online multiplayer - with the latter, to be honest, I did not engage much, but they do their job. The essence is in the levels, which each have a bunch of objectives, from which you must achieve at least a few in order to unlock the next one. Together, there are challenges that are more general in nature and not for every level, which give you XP and therefore levels, which in turn unlock a plethora of items to dress up your character or board.
It has a great variety of clothes (real and non-branded), boards, and related items. It made a particularly positive impression on me that you cannot buy them with real money, but only unlock them - well done for progress, Activision! Of course, with all the above, you equip your skater, and as you level up, you unlock additional custom slots for special tricks.
In terms of graphics, it won't blow your mind, but commendable work has been done aesthetically and technically (lighting, etc.). Remarkably, it runs smoothly at 60fps, which makes the action flow simply perfectly. And of course, the old and beloved soundtrack that we loved returns almost untouched, with minimal losses but also with many additions. In fact, the jukebox is customizable so you can create your own playlist, and at any time, with a button, you can skip a song within and outside the game.
In short, for those who loved the game back then, it is clearly a must-buy. For those who are curious and have never tried it, the budget price is (in my opinion) completely affordable, so give it a chance if not now, then when the price drops. Even for those who are not into skateboarding, it is extremely fun to see how much you can achieve - it is "addictive" to constantly try to do one more trick than before in order to break your high score.

Ένα από τα ποιοτικότερα remasters που έχουν βγει, ίσως πρότυπο για όσα θα ακολουθήσουν.
Καταφέρνει να είναι σχεδόν απόλυτα πιστό στα THPS 1 και 2, όμως χαίρομαι που δεν είναι απόλυτα πιστό. Αυτό διότι προσθέτει κόλπα όπως revert, wall plant και manuals μεταξύ άλλων (πράγματα που δεν υπήρχαν στα δύο πρωτότυπα παιχνίδια), δίνοντας άλλο αέρα στα combos και φυσικά, στο τι μπορείς να πετύχεις και πόσα μπορείς να συνδυάσεις. Ο χειρισμός του είναι αψεγάδιαστος και ποτέ δεν ένιωσα πως ένα κακό λ.χ. landing ήταν πρόβλημα του παιχνιδιού αντί λάθος υπολογισμός μου. Άμεσος σε σημείο που έχεις τον απόλυτο έλεγχο.
Στα γενικότερα, περιλαμβάνει 9 πίστες από το THPS και 8+1 από το THPS2, μαζί με επιλογές για free skate, split-screen διπλάκι και online multiplayer - με τα τελευταία, για να είμαι ειλικρινής, δεν ασχολήθηκα ιδιαίτερα, όμως κάνουν τη δουλειά τους. Το ζουμί είναι στις πίστες, οι οποίες έχουν ένα κάρο objectives έκαστη, από τα τα οποία πρέπει να πετύχεις έστω λίγα ώστε να ξεκλειδώσεις την επόμενη. Μαζί, υπάρχουν challenges που είναι γενικότερου ύφους και όχι για κάθε πίστα, τα οποία σου δίνουν XP και κατά συνέπεια levels, τα οποία με τη σειρά τους ξεκλειδώνουν πληθώρα αντικειμένων για να ντύσεις τον χαρακτήρα ή τη σανίδα σου.
Έχει φοβερή ποικιλία σε ρούχα (πραγματικές και μη μάρκες), σανίδες και τα συναφή. Μου έκανε ιδιαίτερα θετική εντύπωση πως δεν μπορείς να τα αγοράσεις με πραγματικά λεφτά, παρά μόνο να τα ξεκλειδώσεις - εύγε για την πρόοδο, Activision! Φυσικά, με όλα τα παραπάνω εξοπλίζεις τον skater σου, ενώ ανεβαίνοντας σε level, ξεκλειδώνεις και επιπλέον custom slots για special tricks.
Από γραφικά, δεν θα ρίξει σαγόνια, όμως έχει γίνει αξιέπαινη δουλειά αισθητικά και τεχνικά (φωτισμός κλπ). Αξιοσημείωτο πως τρέχει σταθερότατα σε 60fps, κάτι που κάνει τη δράση να ρέει, απλά, τέλεια. Και φυσικά, το παλιό κι αγαπημένο soundtrack που αγαπήσαμε επιστρέφει σχεδόν ανέγγιχτο, με ελάχιστες απώλειες αλλά και με πολλές προσθήκες. Μάλιστα, το jukebox είναι παραμετροποιήσιμο ώστε να φτιάξεις τη λίστα όπως επιθυμείς ενώ ανά πάσα στιγμή, με ένα πλήκτρο, κάνεις skip τραγούδι εντός κι εκτός παιχνιδιού.
Με λίγα λόγια, για όσους αγάπησαν το παιχνίδι τότε, είναι ξεκάθαρο must-buy. Για όσους είναι περίεργοι και ποτέ δεν είχαν ασχοληθεί, η budget τιμή είναι (κατ' εμέ) εντελώς μη απαγορευτική, οπότε δώστε του μια ευκαιρία αν όχι τώρα, τότε σε πτώση τιμής. Ακόμα και για όσους δεν ασχολούνται με το skate, είναι άκρως διασκεδαστικό το πόσα μπορείς να πετύχεις - είναι «εθιστικό» να προσπαθείς διαρκώς ένα παραπάνω κόλπο από πριν, ώστε να σπάσεις το high score σου.
