Description

7 pin trailer socket tester for checking all lighting functions of the tow socket and the trailer lights. An adapter is required for checking a 13 pin socket (not included).

Insert a 9V battery (not included) into the tester, ensuring the correct polarity.

  • Tow Socket Testing:
    • Connect the tester to the tow socket.
    • Turn on the car lights and turn signals.
    • Press the yellow button on the side of the device.
    • The LED indicators show which car lights are functioning correctly at the tow socket.
    • If no LED lights up, check the grounding wire.
  • Trailer Lights Testing:
    • Functional bulbs must be present in all trailer lights for measurement.
    • Connect the trailer lights socket to the tester and press the yellow button on the side of the device.
    • The LED indicators show which lights are on and functioning correctly.
    • If no LED lights up, check the grounding wire.

Note: The tester is not suitable for testing CANBUS technology sockets. Never connect the tester to both the tow socket and the trailer at the same time.
