You definitely need to screw it to the wall as the manufacturer says. The weight of the books may cause it to tilt forward.

Very beautiful bookshelf and easy to assemble! It is stable and did not require anchoring to the wall. It includes everything needed for assembly, except for a cross screwdriver which you will need for 6 screws.

Perfect product. Of course, since I have a baby at home and the comics I have are of great value, I created my own and put them on the wall as you can see in the photos

Very beautiful bookshelf, however its construction is not very sturdy. It cannot stand safely without being screwed to the wall
