Isomat Supergrund red primer is an adhesion primer made from synthetic resins and quartz sand. It is applied to smooth and non-absorbent substrates to create a rough surface and improve tile adhesive bonding. It is suitable for interior and exterior surfaces, as well as substrates with underfloor heating.
It is used on existing tiles, marble, natural stone, cement-based industrial floors, wood, metal, PVC, linoleum, anhydrite and magnesite floors. It is water-based, ready to use and quick-drying. Before application, the surface must be dry and free of dust, grease and dirt, and the product must be stirred thoroughly. On non-absorbent surfaces, apply a thin coat with a roller or brush; if the surface is not fully covered, apply a second coat after the first has dried. On absorbent substrates, dilute with clean water at a ratio of up to 1:1. Apply the adhesive once the primer has dried; at a temperature of 20 ºC, application can begin approximately one hour after priming.
