I have been familiar with these speakers since at least 2010, and I had them in my car in the front doors since 2013. Their regular cost is around 3-4 euros each, but the prices have increased. Since I will be dealing more seriously with sound in the car (knowledgeable about high-end and professional audio), and they have served me impeccably for almost a decade, I took the initiative to evaluate them.

For their price and even further, they really perform well and there is nothing more valuable in terms of reliability within the range of 30-40 euros for a set. The intermediate speakers in the range of 20-25 euros are marginally better, but in terms of durability, they don't compare to these. They have been exposed to moisture, even to the point of mold, and high volumes. The speakers have been submerged in water all these years and still play with minimal to no differences.

In terms of sound, these speakers have an irregular woofer and not a full range. They have holes in the frequencies and do not reproduce linearly. The midrange plays satisfactorily with a decent amount of color that is not ideal, and the high frequencies play very little, but in this way, they do not fatigue like other speakers that produce exaggerated highs that "shave" and lack in other areas.

Their strong point is the bass, which goes very low. I would say they play up to 80Hz, with some breakups even lower at lower volume. Although from hearing, I consider that they have an Fs of around 100Hz, this surprised me because they don't behave as normal speakers even in this aspect. The bass has a solid body and can be heard outside the car as if a subwoofer is playing at low volume.

In terms of volume, they have a very low sensitivity. I estimate it to be around 83dB @ 1W/1m or 86-87dB at 2.83V. After all, this is important for volume and not the watts. They will never play loudly, but they can handle a decent amount of power to play at a satisfactory to high volume. They do not distort at all due to suspension, but at very high volumes with a large production of low frequencies, there is some intermodulation distortion that alters the higher frequencies almost without losing performance in the lows.

They have been used with a Pioneer radio, mostly with a VW RCD300 from Golf 5 for many years, and a 2Din Kenwood source with a screen from around 2009.

With a mediocre source, such as a radio, they play marginally well, much better than factory speakers. The RCD300 played them at high volumes without any problems but with considerable distortion if pushed too far. With the Kenwood, they played as a subwoofer, complementing two midrange bass habit sp165m with a significant difference in volume downwards. They have also been used with poor speakers in the shelf with similar results.

I should note that due to their characteristics, these speakers perform well in doors, but the result, especially in bass, is questionable in a shelf.

If someone wants to replace factory or low-quality speakers without dealing with it again and have a long-lasting reliable solution with decent sound for the money, this is a very good choice.

For very high volumes and high-quality sound, you will need easily guided speakers and, of course, a higher cost, which these speakers do not offer.

Despite my good experience with these speakers, I believe that the majority who undoubtedly have high expectations will be disappointed. However, for speakers priced at 7-8 euros per pair, there is nothing more valuable, of course.

End for those wondering, the installation depth is 5cm and the base of the crown is of irregular diameter, 16.5cm and 15cm from screw center to screw.

Honest for replacing the cheap original speakers in many models with basic equipment. They provide more volume and clarity, but there should also be a tweeter. Most radios will drive it to the end, no extra amplification needed.
