Durostick Aluminium & Galvanized Steel Primer is an acrylic primer for glossy aluminum and galvanized metal surfaces. It promotes adhesion for alkyd, water-based and other paints, and can also be used on its own for anti-corrosion protection. Suitable for aluminum window and door frames, galvanized pipes and water tanks, ventilation ducts, automotive and agricultural machinery parts, boats, towers, metal buildings and bridges.
It spreads evenly and dries quickly. Before application, remove rust, oil, dust and loose paint with emery paper, then clean away any residue with DUROSTICK THINNER 101 or white spirit. For surfaces that will remain primed only, apply 2–3 coats, allowing 4–6 hours between coats. If a final coat of enamel paint will follow, 1–2 coats are sufficient, depending on the paint requirements.
