Durostick velatura is an alkyd-based primer for varnishes and paints, designed to prepare wooden surfaces and walls. It adheres to surfaces, fills and covers, and is easy to apply and sand, creating a smooth base for the topcoat. It can be applied to new or previously filled wooden surfaces, as well as skim-coated surfaces made of marble plaster and plasterboard.
Before application, the surface must be dry, clean and sanded. Stir the product well, apply with a roller, brush or airless spray gun, and dilute by 5–10% with THINNER 101 or white spirit. Once dry, sand with sandpaper. Clean tools immediately after use with THINNER 101 or white spirit. Apply in a well-ventilated area and keep out of reach of children.
