Vechro Smaltox Hydro Eco primer is a white, water-based acrylic primer for interior and exterior use, suitable for plasterboard, building materials and masonry. It is used on walls and ceilings to prime surfaces and block stains from nicotine, exhaust fumes, soot, markers, inks, old damp patches and mould, preventing them from reappearing through the topcoat. It has a low odour and a reduced content of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and hazardous substances.
It can also be applied to surfaces made of adhesive, gypsum, plaster, cement and old oil-based paint. It offers good adhesion and coverage, dries quickly and can be recoated with water-based emulsion and acrylic paints.
