With the general title Wandering, critical texts written and published on various occasions in magazines, newspapers, and elsewhere during a critical journey that began in the early post-war years and continues, are collected in volumes, in their final form. Their selection and classification were made based on the thematic unity by volume and regardless of their chronological order. Moreover, all texts have been reviewed, supplemented, and synchronized with the moment of their definitive publication, and some have been completely excluded.

In the following Notes, the reader will find the history of the texts in this volume: when they were written, where and when they were published or republished, and to what extent they have been supplemented and modified here. If no writing date is mentioned, it means that they were written at the same time or shortly before their first publication.

In the lines and the quoted excerpts, the spelling, punctuation, and syntax of the authors have been faithfully followed. Those printed in italics and without quotation marks are, of course, transferred verbatim but have been adjusted to fit the syntactic sequence of the entire text.

Where the place of publication is not indicated in the prints, Athens is implied.
