Alchimica Aquadur primer is a two-component, water-soluble epoxy coating suitable for use with the Hyperdesmo product range. It is used as a primer for building materials, as well as for polyurethane-based, epoxy-based and cementitious systems. It is also used to seal concrete and improve adhesion between old and new concrete.
It can act as a water and water-vapor barrier in applications with rising damp or negative pressure, such as tanks, swimming pools and foundations. When used as a primer, it is applied with a roller in one or two thin coats, with a total consumption of 150 g/m². When used as a water or water-vapor barrier, it is applied in three coats, with a total consumption of 600 g/m². The two components are mixed thoroughly, then water is added at a ratio of 10–30%.
